Very tough, very enjoyable. I have one trophy left to get (200 hit combo in chaos realm), and I figure I'll be busy with it for a while. For a simple arcade game like this, I have to admit I'm surprised by how completely it's taken up my last two weeks. Great with a buddy.

MGSV is an outstanding game. It took me 62 hours to finish, and there's tons left to play. However...

I am concerned about the fact that this game seems sorely unfinished. There are clearly some loose ends that remain untied as we wrap the lore back around to Metal Gear 1. Many things *are* tied up, but the things that aren't stick out (especially Liquid's Kingdom of the Flies, which has surfaced from the bonus disc). It's unfortunate, and one can't help but wonder if Konami forced a release date on Kojima, disallowing him from finishing the game. It would be a reasonable explanation for his departure. We may never know. The game is great, and it did a lot of great things, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that it seems unfinished. The worst possible outcome is that the game be finished by someone other than Kojima in the form of the next Metal Gear installment.

This game was fine. Much like Halo 1, I didn't find it amazing, but it was fun enough to co-op with my friend, who's a huge fan. I will say it was a bit better than 1, though. Looks like we'll be jumping in to Halo 3 soon, so I'll be interested to see if the series makes further leaps in quality.
