Not to steal the wind out of anyone's sails, but someone nominated the Atari 2600 version of Pac-Man. It's quite a bit different from the Arcade version we all know and love (which will be appearing in a later round, no doubt), and in my view, quite a bit worse (no offence, whoever picked it!).

It's funny to see an awful port of a good game run into a quite successful port at this early stage of the event.

Chrono Cross got my vote. While it might be the lesser younger brother of a much better game, it's still an excellent jrpg in its own right.

I'm only going to assume there is some kind of misunderstanding with the Pac-Man Atari 2600 votes. If not, well blow me down.

I almost voted for it. It's a pretty good game. And was my first.

This is basically how I feel as well. I'm greatly enamored of Chrono Cross. Although the game's plot kind of went to shit in Disc 2 (though the burning orphanage was cool), I have overall very fond memories of Chrono Cross. I've even replayed it a few times over the years. Trigger was more solid, but Cross is underrated I feel.

Is there a specific reason why Pac-Man CE DX+ is listed explicitly as a PC game?

The person who nominated it specified the platform as PC. In past BGE events, I've tended to keep the platforms explicitly mentioned, even for multiplatform games, as an indicator of what people are playing those games on / what platform they care about. This has kind of changed over the years: when a game was nominated for a different platform in e.g. 2010, I'll indicate both as a way to preserve history.

Pac Man. Atari. Think someone's having a laugh.

Another no vote for me.

Pac Man CE DX+ gets the vote. People claim that this is the best Pac Man since the arcade days, but honestly I think it's right on par with the original Championship Edition, and stands alongside it as an equal that stands alone without nullifying the qualities of its original. Furthermore, these games laid the groundwork for the arcade-exclusive Pac Man Battle Royale.

Pac Man 2600, as mentioned in every post thus far, is a travesty. Flickering, slow, trash. The bizarre sounds it produces were iconic, but I can't offer more than that. Ms. Pac Man for 2600, conversely, showed what a 2600 port should look and play like.
