Littlebigplanet jumping sucked but everything else was awesome about it. Not an amazing platformer but still good.
Drumble doesn't respect the sigs so here's a link to my backloggery

Easy vote for SSFIV. Perhaps lacks the significance of earlier fighting games, but with arcades long gone, it's hard to really put much clout into that anymore. I put more than 2,000 hours into this game, well over half of that spent on a single character. Best fighting game ever.

Wow, you know it's a tough bracket when Kirby Super Star and LittleBigPlanet are getting trounced!

Just submitted a vote for KSS! I'm surprised to see it doing so poorly too.Kong Wen wrote:Wow, you know it's a tough bracket when Kirby Super Star and LittleBigPlanet are getting trounced!

I imagine the remake is further up. I'm voting purely based on what games I think are best so despite the remake KSS gets my vote.Claytone wrote:Just submitted a vote for KSS! I almost voted for Kirby Super Star. What gave me pause is the fact that the remake (on DS I think?) is so much better. It made the best Kirby game even better, and I suspect that somebody nominated it somewhere so I'd rather vote for that.Kong Wen wrote:Wow, you know it's a tough bracket when Kirby Super Star and LittleBigPlanet are getting trounced!

Final Fantasy VIII is probably one of the most flawed FF games out there but I still really like it. It might be my fourth or fifth favourite in the series so that's saying a lot. Still gets my vote though.
Haven't played a lot of these games despite being fans of the series' like Animal Crossing, Kirby and Street Fighter 4.

Re: Round 2: Bracket 16/16 - SIXTEEN
Animal Crossing got my only vote in this bracket. I like FFVIII (a lot) despite not having finished it yet. And I arbitrarily started playing the series in order so that I could beat all of the ones I haven't beaten yet. That said, it'll take a while. I'll need to restart FFV (lost my save when I sold my cart for books) and will need to play 6 and 7 as well - both from the beginning. I'll get to it, though And thoroughly enjoy it along the way I'm sure...
Animal Crossing has a way of becoming a part of your day like few other games have. The passage of time in real time, the variability throughout the town, its residents, and events, and the huge amount of things to collect and to do make it stand out to me exceptionally well. One of my best friends bought a Gamecube when I showed this to him. Zelda, Mario, and Metroid didn't make the sale despite his being a huge fan of all of those series and owning and playing nearly everything else in them up to that point. Animal Crossing dared to be different and it worked fantastically.
EDIT: Fun fact - I was playing the DS one whenever I went to work in Israel and I couldn't bring myself to update the time on my DS since I didn't want the time zone in my town to change (my town didn't move just because I had....!) So it got to be really difficult to get to the shop while it was open especially due to my work hours being excessive at the time. Every once in a while, though, I'd be able to get in real quick to take care of the day's business before getting on with my irl day. When I couldn't, though, I still had plenty of other activities to do throughout my town.

I never thought I would feel this way, but now I know. Now I know. I never thought I would see things as I see them now, but now I know. I never thought I would hurt so bad, but now I know. Now I know.
