Apollo Justice doesn't get my vote only because it's one of the "4 case" Ace Attorney games. I liked most of the game otherwise. The second case could be a bit annoying, though.

Resident Evil 2 captured my imagination like few other games of its era and I'm excited to finally get a remake, especially after the simple-yet-necessary upgrades to the controls as introduced in the RE1 update. RE1 was good, but not as good as Alone in the Dark. RE2, though, really went nuts by the end and scared the ever living shit out of me throughout.

Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved gets my second vote for revitalizing one of my old favourite genres and of course for its role in legitimizing smaller downloadable titles early last generation. It's safe to say that it wasn't the only game that contributed to this, but it was absolutely the first one to enjoy blockbuster success. Great game, pure and simple.

Lemmings is going to be a shoo-in for my first vote in this poll, but I'm waffling on my second one. I like Geometry Wars, but I was unfortunately spoiled by the best entry in the series (Galaxies) before I got a chance to play this one. Metal Slug, Crash 2, R&C, and RE2 are all really close on a level with each other in my esteem as other contenders for my second vote. I'm going to have to mull.

I didn't expect Lemmings to be doing so well, but I'm glad! My 2nd vote went to Metal Slug pretty soundly. Lots of good games in this bracket, but those are my two.

Surprised by the lack of support for Res 2, often considered one of the best games of all time. I'd have to go with that even if it's not my favourite in the series. I've never played the Apollo Justice game so I can't comment on that one, even though I like that series.

Lemmings and Metal Slug march relentlessly into Round 3.
