Four-way tie. LOL it contines to impress me how close these polls are. Lots of good games out there and all of them deserve advocacy and are getting it. It's nice to see.

Ugh, I'm going to have to kiss one of my babies goodbye in this one.

Shining Force is simply one of my favourite tactical games of all time. The wildly varied characters (a werewolf, a domingo egg, a weird hamster in a helmet, a robot, a ninja, a crazy inventor... 20 centaurs), the upbeat music, the great colour palette, and the well-developed scenarios make this one of the Genesis's all time heavy-hitters. It's a shame they couldn't capture this same lightning in a bottle (although Shining Force II and CD came close).

Portal is also an amazing game.

Shadow of the Colossus... you're on the chopping block. I'll have to think about it before dropping the ax, though.

This is a fair opinion. I think SotC loses a lot for having wonky controls. Great as an art piece though. Portal's really a phenomenon. (never played shining force)

By the looks of things it might be good that I've only played 2 of these 4 games.

I voted portal as my easy number 1 and yoshi as number 2 more as a send off vote as I believe it won't make the top 32.

Shadow of the Collossus is a great experience. Not going to say it`s the best game - it`s actually kind of barren. But for the time, it`s visually stunning, the music is top notch, the atmosphere is full of intrigue, and the battles really make you feel bad ass. Still some of the best boss fights in a game to date.

Portal. It's difficult to say which of the Portal games is the better, they're both as good as each other in my opinion with having different strengths.

SotC. I actually only played this game for the first time with the HD re-release and it didn't feel like it was old at all.

Portal 2 seemed a little long and drawn out so I normally say Portal>Portal 2 for that reason.
