I've beaten the first boss of the game, so far the game has been a joy. Lots of great set peices to keep things interesting. The shift between boss battles and regular battles is pretty neat. Not really missing the RPG stuff so far, battles are fun though I still avoid them as much as I can, but I'm okay with that. They definitely put a lot of heart into this game, in a lot of ways it feels like classic paper Mario, especially the music.
