Re: Round 2: Bracket 16/16 - SIXTEEN

Fairly easy picks for me despite being a strong poll. I voted for Final Fantasy VIII and Super Street Fighter IV.
Final Fantasy VIII was a crazy, cinematic RPG supported by some nice gameplay systems & mechanics. The story was bonkers and a lot of it didn't hold together, but the same is true of other loved entries (FFVII, and VI... and V) as well! Everyone who enjoys these games identifies with an "era" with entries in the series as signposts. People tend to forget how well this game did, outselling FFVII and launching to general acclaim. It was only in the aftermath of the huge sales to an audience largely new to RPGs and to Final Fantasy ("how come this game isn't the same as the previous one?!") that a backlash started brewing.
Super Street Fighter IV is a great refinement on Street Fighter, and a return to form for Capcom after some meandering through the III and Alpha eras.
