I bet Jelly would vote for it if he paid attention. I think it is a well-liked / well-received game, but a lot of people around here may not have played it. I haven't. Even Lord PC Spore hasn't played it. And that's all setting aside the fact that this bracket is
stacked.

I guess I ought to play Doom II. I never much liked the first one, but maybe I'd like the second one more.

If you didn't like the first one the second one won't do anything for you. It's basically the same game with somewhat better levels and minor tweaks and additions.
