Calling all Sloopers! Calling all Sloopers!

I've played a few levels of SMB3 and it's on my get around to playing list. I knew it was good but 21 votes good I didn't think it was over the top that good.

Is it the case that this bracket just doesn't have any games that are good enough to compete with SMB3 and that's why it's dominating or is SMB3 a favorite to win the whole thing?

Also could SMB3 have a lot of votes due to the people in the forum grew up on. If I remember correctly most people here are older than me (23) and that there could be a huge nostalgic reason behind the vote + everyone here (but me) has played it.

No, every other game in this bracket is excellent. Super Mario Bros. 3 is that good. It's always been a strong contender in these events, and for good reason.

I think SMB3 has a lot of nostalgia, but it's definitely a great game.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is one of my favorite platformers and one of my favorite Mario games. It's really good.

The only other Mario platformers which I personally liked as much were World, 64 and Galaxy 2.

Damn, had I waited to vote, there's a good chance I could have killed off one of the two games tied for 4th that I don't particularly want to see advance.

Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda, and Batman: Arkham Asylum have secured places in the Top 64.
