I got it, and it was a quality joke. I just wanted to take the opportunity to say something substantive in this thread.

Caved and voted for Suikoden.

Sorry guys, guess it's a three-way tie now.

#SorryNotSorry from the sounds of things.

I haven't voted yet. This bracket won't end in a tie.

Let's just say that I don't think a remake of Suikoden or Guacamelee would cause a lot of people to do this:

Suikoden and Guacamelee fans are far to sophisticated to do anything like that. 8-)

FF7 has a lot of rose-tinted hype. Heck, it managed to build up quite a swell of hype right around the time it was released. It became a cultural phenomenon (never mind that FF8 soon outsold it). I'm not undercutting that—it is an important BGE consideration—but I'm not convinced I want to cast my vote that way.

[Also, it's perfectly possible that people 20 years from now will react to the news of a Guacamelee remake like that.]

Right now I'm leaning towards either Guacamelee or Suikoden, or perhaps FF7.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition defeats Suikoden and Final Fantasy VII to advance to the Top 64.
