I voted for A Link to the Past, which is the best Zelda game. The other one in this thread is just a hulk of its great predecessor, and seeing them side-by-side in this bracket is beautiful and sad.
I also voted for Castlevania, which is an excellent, tightly-executed platformer along the lines of Mega Man 2 in terms of perfection of vision, design, and implementation.
Sad not to be able to vote for Civilization V here, but I haven't spent as much time playing it as it deserves, mostly because I'm awful at it. I tend to love the old games in the series (as usual), so I haven't had time to cut through all the glitz and glamour of the new one to get a good feel for the core mechanics.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past has advanced to the Top 32.
A tie-breaker between The Legend of Zelda: A Link between Worlds and Castlevania will be posted soon.

I figured it would have a hard go against
A Link to the Past (one of the best games of all time, legit) and
Castlevania (a hugely important game), but I never imagined a recent handheld knock-off would beat it as well. Civ V is great, and a true monster of a game, one of the great pillars of an entire genre, but alas it's a niche genre on a platform that not a lot of people around here have much interest in.

Did ALBW sleep with your wife or something you seem to strongly hate it.

Strongly hate? I'm obviously (intentionally) presenting a subjective other-side-of-the-coin, but I don't think anything I've said even ventures into the realm of mild dislike, let alone strong hate. It seems like you have to fan some of these Nintendo games with palm fronds and put grapes in their mouths to escape suspicion.
