Could we do something along the lines of best series?

Aka Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Megaman, Grand Theft Auto, Borderland, ~ Souls. And we'd vote on the series as a whole instead of an individual game.

Any three rounds before the Top 128, so a game that debuted in the first round and made it to the 4th, plus a game that debuted in the 3rd round and made it to the 6th, etc?

Yes. Change the number of rounds as needed to get a reasonable number of entries.

Only possible if I keep it to the few highest-seeded games that I know are RPGs. :)

Sure, that'd be possible.

Sure! Not many were nominated.

You won't like the results.
Sharecrow wrote:Would best game by producer make sense? Like best Sega game, best Capcom, etc?
That would be hard to track, but as with the genre/RPG suggestion above, I could just eyeball the highest-seeded games.

Sure thing!

Additionally, here are a couple of games that could be included, unless there's resistance:

Super Meat Boy, successor—not sequel—to the Flash game "Meat Boy"
The Guardian Legend, sequel to the MSX game Guardic, but honestly, who cares?

I'm not concerned with results, I'd just like to see a contest including games that haven't become household names.

As for the examples listed, I'd be just fine with remakes/de-flashes/whatever in place of (or in competition with) the originals.

Will we be running 1 side event at a time or multiple side events?

Can we do a game of the year as well?

Might require new nominations for that.

What games that came out this year that deserve a GoTY nomination didn't get nominated this year?
