Who here all has this game? Would be great to get everyone together for a few rounds.

I have it! I saw Kpikachu and Squishy online too. Would be fun for a four player Salmon run!The Shoemaker wrote:Who here all has this game? Would be great to get everyone together for a few rounds.
I'm going to be away at the lake for a few days, but if the receptions good I might be able to play off my phone again!Kreegs wrote:I'd be down for aome matches this evening. (Monday)
Yes sir! Lots of people on my friends list were playing! I'm trying to get in rounds with people from college, work, and TONe. All in time! Would love to party up with y'all at some point soon.Kreegs wrote:I saw that Clay was playing last night!
How are you liking it so far? Never played Splatoon 1 right?Claytone wrote:Yes sir! Lots of people on my friends list were playing! Loving it so far! You're correct; I didn't have Splatoon 1. It came out (on my birthday!) when I was interning in Seattle in 2015 away from my Wii U. As a result, I felt that I missed most of the initial hype, so I figured I wouldn't have many folks to play it with. With the success of the Switch (and not being in a situation where I'm away from most of my video game platforms for 3 months), I've had no problem finding folks to play with. Not to mention I actually find just queuing up solo to be plenty of fun, which isn't always the case with multiplayer games for me.The Shoemaker wrote: How are you liking it so far? Definite criticism of this game is how inconvenient it is to play with friends, voice chat app aside. Turf war you need to join a game in progress rather than make a party and then join up with random.
Ranked you need to be B- to play together. Which on one hand, prevents low ranked players from being carried, but really who cares, just means you don't have friends to play with when you probably need it the most.
Salmon Run is the only one that does it right where you can make a party and then join up with randoms. There's also private battles which support as many friends as you want in any mode, but without a full team and no bots, I imagine it's not as great, especially if you only have 2 to 3 people.
But other than that, I'm loving it. Me and Kreegs have played a lot of good games, and I've actually played in portable mode tethered to my phone a lot more than I thought I would. And single player is proving to have a decent amount of content to keep me busy when I'm not at home.
Whenever a multiplayer sequel comes out I always try to play with different weapons/characters. In Splatoon 1 by the end I almost exclusively used the N Zap 85 and Slosher. This time I'm using carbon roller, .52 Gal, rapid blaster and Splat Dualies pretty consistently. If like to get into the inkbrush/octobrush as well since I never really understood those weapons. I'm using chargers more now via the single player, but I doubt I'll bring those into the multiplayer.
