Han Solo wrote: 06 Feb 2019 17:20 When I proposed the question of best light gun games, my intentions were to include any type of game where you aim a physical controller at the screen to shot objects. So a game like House of the Dead Overkill would definitely count, because you play it with a Wiimote or a Move controller aimed at the TV despite the controller not actually using light gun technology.

There are also games such as Snatcher or the Adventures of Bayou Billy where light guns are only used for parts of the game. I feel that a person may nominate these games if they wish, but these games probably won't get that many votes since they are not exactly the best examples of the genre.
Excellent, thanks for making that nice and clear. Would be a shame to miss an entire generation of awesome shooters based on a narrow definition of the tech.

Is there a specific boss fight from this game that you're nominating? Without specifying, I'd assume the end boss of the whole game.

Am adding the Ninja Gaiden Sigma - Ninja Gaiden 3 trilogy to trilogies. Also added four boss fights to best boss.

Darkfalz (Phantasy Star), Dark Samus (Metroid Fusion), Kuromori, the Lizard (SotC), and Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2

You must mean SA-X from Metroid Fusion? Dark Samus is from Metroid Prime.

I'm surprised people haven't nominated all the Shadows of the Colossus. ;)

Skyward Sword would fall into the same group of games as Snatcher: games that have light gun sections/elements in them, but the light gun aspect is not the primary focus of the game. I would not personally nominate or vote for these kind of games for this category.

Some good examples of light gun games on the Wii would be:
The House of the Dead 2 & 3
The House of the Dead: Overkill
Ghost Squad
Link's Crossbow Training

It's been awhile. I wanted to come up with something for every category. I was grasping at straws there. I thought you got to mix and match parts, which to me is customization.

I added a second nomination to that category anyway. (And another boss fight.)
