I'm still going to get one, because I get all video game systems and play all video games. I'm not psyched about it, but I'm sure I'll get entertainmentpleasures from some of the software that uses this platform to deliver them.
I wish I had your energy. To be honest, I find myself sticking with just a few games and maybe 1 big one per month. There were several games I would have liked to play on Wii U but just ended up playing about two.

I think the Switch may be slightly different for me because it's a portable system. I played far more games on 3DS than I did on PS3 or Wii U.

I'm really hoping for a new Fire Emblem by 2018. That would get me excited.

Well, this is not to say I actually finish the damn things. I'm more of a dabbler, but it floods my brain with precious happiness chemicals, so who am I to question it.

There are about two dozen games I own right now which I haven't even touched. Maybe even more.

I kind of have the opposite gaming habits as that. I tend to get a bunch of games and only play a few, but when I get into a game lately, I go hard. I'm sitting at ~260 hours of Fire Emblem Fates right now, although I guess an argument could be made that Fates is technically three different games.

No Netflix on Switch (at launch).

Given that there are Netflix apps on every platform under the sun, I'd say it's safe to assume one will be coming to Switch eventually. If Nintendo hopes to leverage Switch's unique form factor to make it a viable home system, it'll definitely need some good multimedia capabilities. Netflix is the most obvious bog-standard one.

Updated hardware specs.

I was hoping the screen would be a touch bigger. The higher resolution (and the smaller bezel profile) will help it see use as an actual main screen when necessary/appropriate, but still, I always found the wiiPad screen a bit small to play real games on.

It can display at 1080p on the TV screen, 720p on the tablet, and 900p on Zelda. :)

1080p/60fps Mario Kart though! Wii U version was only 720p/60fps.

I think a Gamepad sized screen will feel cozier on the Switch since the screen takes up most of the system, compared to the Gamepad where there is a lot of space around the screen.

Mario Kart could be 4K with 144fps, but if it doesn't have actual useful online matchmaking friend lobby technologies, I'm not playing it. Having to countdown in TONe chat so everyone can join a match at the same time is unacceptable.

Online really is a big deal, imo. Nintendo needs to finally join us all in 2005 with some decent party making and chat, and normal match/lobby setups. I would love to finally play a Smash Bros. game with decent online play (not to mention a lead designer who gives a shit about the competitive community and doesn't actively scorn it). Sad that the best online Smash experience is via the Dolphin emulator.

Considering chat and friend list / invite functionality is confirmed to only be available through the use of a telephone, I don't know if I'd count on it...

I couldn't believe how much crap Smash 3DS and Wii U were when it came to online. I thought the laggy online was due to the Wii's infrastructure and inability to patch games easily. Smash 3DS and Wii U were almost as bad. Only 1v1 was moderately playable.

Mario Kart needs to figure its online out as well. As of right now, I'm not getting the Switch port. If they show great online features, I'll think about it.
