I would think DLC cars and characters can be played with anyone, not debating that.

Courses though is another matter, because people actually play those. The easiest way (for the consumer) would be to let everyone play them online, but I could see them making a DLC specific mode.

I also wonder if they'll update the game again when the DLC comes out, maybe add a few other little tweeks.

I hadn't considered a DLC specific mode online. Hmmmmmm.

Update on the MK 8 DLC. It appears to now be slated for the end of the month.

Hope the Excitebike track shows up the next weekend for our onine tournament. Or we'll just have to set up a specific race for it.

Looking forward to the new tracks mostly. Karts and motor aren't that important, haven't even tried all of the available ones.

I think I agree with you Merlin. I am already stuck with my character and kart. The tracks are what I want to see! Not even sure if I want to get the Amibo thingies.

Earlier than expected! Courses look neat, music too. As unsubstantial as it is I'm excited to play as Link haha.

So from what I read on GoNintendo, it seems like all DLC tracks are playable online, but they only show up if all players have downloaded the DLC. Sounds like you won't be playing the DLC courses online much unless there's a lot of people getting the DLC!

I imagine a lot of people will get the DLC. Certainly the people around here. Courses should mostly start showing up in our league tournaments, unless someone joins up who doesn't normally play.

I'm still floored by how cheap this is. Looking forward to playing with it in a week.
