The Wild are so confusing to me so far! Some periods look great, others look dreadful. Last night's game in Boston was absolute domination. Erickson Ek looks to be pretty decent!

Ugh. I purchased a full-season NHL.TV subscription because this was the year I was finally gonna really follow the Preds and watch as many games as possible (in the past, I've typically caught one or two a month and any playoff games). I'm pleased with the service. I find the stream quality great and the Xbox app is a pleasure to use as well. I am not, however, pleased with the Predators' performance! This team was picked to be fighting for the division title (and by some even for the Cup), but instead they are currently dead last therein. Weber is tearing it up in Montreal, and Subban hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire in Smashville. Frustrating.
Nothing new to me, though. I don't exactly pull for any front-running teams, so this is just one more on the list of exhausting teams for me to pull for. Maybe they'll settle down in the remaining 70-something games and get it turned around.

It's still early.

I personally think the apps garbage compared to what it use to be. I could switch between games without exiting full screen I could have the pop up screen moved wherever i wanted it and could easily press a button to switch between the pop up screens game and the main screens game. (So I could quickly switch to another game during adverts. They have a mode that hides the scores but the idiots thought it was a good idea to still show me if a team had an empty net which obviously proves to me they're losing. All these little things add up. The biggest one however is there use to be a function similar to youtube where it would show a little screen of what was happening wherever your cursor was so if you were 30 minutes behind you could easily skip intermissions. Now you have to just guess or mash the skip 10 seconds button. Also for me using the skip 10 second button is hit and miss sometimes it takes 10 seconds for it to actually skip ahead for 10 seconds. It's still a lovely service but I really wish they wouldn't go backwards.
Also I started Montoya last night in fantasy hockey...
Why on earth did they leave him out for 10 goals...

Vegas Golden Knights...
Why?
Why drop the Las in Las Vegas?
When not just Knights (Las Vegas Knights)
Why does the announcement look god awful?
Just wow...

It's a dumb corporate announcement. I expected it to be cheesy.
I suppose there's no real rule that the team name has to have the full actual city name in it. A lot of them use state names, for example. Vegas is a well-known shorthand for the city, so I guess it kind of makes sense. The owner said that's how most residents refer to the city. *SHRUG*
Like most people, I was expecting Black Knights, but I suspect he wasn't able to use it because it's the name of another team. Golden Knights is OK. It evokes the golden excess of Vegas.
I'm pretty indifferent to all of this, but at least the logo is quite serviceable.
Will be interesting to see what kind of shaky team they can slap together from the expansion draft.

It looked cheap and terrible (instead of cheesy) they couldn't even successfully perform a countdown.
I hope they can get a half decent team. I really hope they don't take Pickard from Colorado.

The owner promised a Stanley Cup within 6 years.
The only way they're getting a half-decent team is if they make some crazy deals in free agency, backroom deals with GMs to take two players instead of choosing a player the team wants to keep but couldn't protect, etc. Even then...
draft projections put together a fairly uninspiring team. And how deep can their farm system be yet?
