Haha, is this because they're enemies of the Red Wings? I bought a jersey at one of their home games I attended. I forget which one now. It was back when my boy Joe Nieuwendyk briefly played for them.

That's a pretty old shirt, then!

Is this a superstition of yours? I'll break out a jersey for any small celebration, since there're scant few other reasons to don the Leafs shirt.
Not a superstition per se, I just don't like to celebrate until the job's done. We're not even out of round 1 yet. Maybe I'll break it out if we can finish the fight with Chicago.

Ah, so wearing a jersey is a form of celebration for you. Interesting!

Nashville dominated Chicago! Toews was nowhere to be seen. Looks like it's going to be Nashville vs. St. Louis in the 2nd round? I'll be rooting for Nashville to win that one, too. Few teams are as boring as St. Louis.
Pumped to see Edmonton pull out another win in overtime last night. It's kind of funny that the whole Pacific division was teams from California playing teams from Alberta.

It's still early.
Sure was.

Happy to be wrong about that one! I'm hoping the trounce whoever they pull in the second round, too (probably St. Louis).

Likewise!
Oh, and I followed your lead and wore my oh-so-beautiful, mustard yellow jersey to work today. 1st round sweep counts as something accomplished.

My predictions of round 2.
St. Louis v Nashville - This is more just me really wanting Nashville to win. However they are a fantastic team as well and anyone that can sweep the blackhawks is a contender.
Anaheim v Edmonton - Anaheim are playing amazingly well lately and Edmonton are lacking playoff experience however I want Edmonton to win.
Ottawa v New York Rangers - They'll probably sweep Ottawa Rangers are a good team and Ottawa is imo the worst team left.
Washington v Pittsburgh - Washington have a habit of losing in round 2 and Pittsburgh are insanely good. Still expect 6/7 game series.

St. Louis vs. Nashville — Go Preds! If Rinne stays hot, they can take down St. Louis. Unfortunately, the Wild weren't playing the best hockey. Nashville will be a much tougher matchup for them. And Nashville is firing on all cylinders right now, amped up from sweeping a good team.
Anaheim vs. Edmonton — I think the Oilers can handle the Ducks. Anaheim is a scary team and they're playing well, but Edmonton has important pieces that can make it happen. The fact that I want them to win is what tilts me into picking them in this round.
Ottawa vs. New York — I'm still not convinced by New York. I think Boston was actually a better team, so Ottawa just has to keep playing solid hockey. This could go to 7 games.
Washington vs. Pittsburgh — Go Pens! The Penguins are on top of their game right now, and Washington somehow struggled to put the Leafs away. Washington needs to win this series to redeem their reputations. I think this'll be an interesting one to watch.
