Dumba would be a dynamite pick for the Knights. I'd be very surprised if he's still a Wild after Wednesday.

EDIT: That said, Minnesota could certainly offer Vegas a compensation package in exchange for them not taking him. McPhee wants early-round draft picks. He's said "smartly" that he would rather build his team through the entry draft than the expansion draft, to build a solid 5-6 year team rather than a good 2-year team.

Is Kevin Shattenkirk seriously available? He'd be like our best defencemen on the Avs :/

He is, but he'll also be an unrestricted free agent this summer, so Vegas would only take him if they could also lock him into a contract.

Ahhh now it makes more sense.

I would love to keep Neal this way.

It's a very real possibility. Neal has a big contract. I don't know if he's the kind of player a new team wants to sink that many resources into. If other teams are interested in Neal, they'll make offers, and then McPhee will require Nashville to provide something more enticing than those offers to let them keep him. (He's going to be playing teams off each other for pretty much every one of his 30 picks, barring a few that he definitely wants to keep—Fleury comes to mind.)

Yeah Dumba would be the most likely to be taken. I too am wondering if they have already planned something for draft picks. Wild have so many young guns coming up that they could afford to lose some future draft picks.

2017-18 uniforms have been tweaked. And the Vegas uniforms have been introduced. The shirts themselves are kind of uninspiring. Someone said it would be pretty great if they wore bright yellow/gold helmets, but I doubt they're that creative.

The NHL signed a new long-term contract with Adidas for the uniforms (they were with Reebok before).

In other news, GM has his rosters locked down this morning. The team will be unveiled at the Awards show tonight (8 p.m. EDT).

In roster news, Marion Hossa (Chicago) will be sitting out next season because of treatment for a skin condition. :(

Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Haula and Tuch will be heading to Vegas. They have apparently agreed that Vegas will draft Haula tonight so that Dumba, Scandella, and Stahl will be safe. Wild will also be getting a conditional draft pick from Las Vegas.

I am ok with this. Wild has so many young forward prospects that will be lighting in up in the NHL in the near future. We needed to keep defenders. Alex Tuch also was not going to see much ice time, as the prospects are all better than him, and most likely, better than Haula too.

I impressed Minnesota's getting a conditional pick out of the deal. I figured all the pieces would be flowing Vegas's way to keep them away from such tasty options.
