I'm going to go ahead and pick for
Claytone, as is tradition. Unless he chimes in before the season starts and it's too late to make picks, these will stand as his official picks:
2 players with 0.80 or higher PPG/A
- Viktor Arvidsson
- Ryan Johansen
Other 8 players
- Filip Forsberg
- Roman Josi
- P.K. Subban
- Mike Ribeiro
- Ryan Ellis
- Scott Hartnell
- Nick Bonino
- Calle Jarnkrok
Division Winners
- Abstain
- Abstain
- Nashville
- Abstain
Other 3 questions
- Stanley Cup: Nashville Predators
- Miss Playoffs: Pittsburgh Penguins
- Will Vegas finisher higher than Colorado: Abstain
Thanks! If it's not too late, I'd like to pick Leafs, Sharks, Blue Jackets for divisions I didn't pick. If so, no worries.
I'll also pick YES for the Golden Knights to finish higher than the Avs.
Unless, as I said, it's too late.
Edit: Also, is Mike Ribeiro still playing? Surely there's a better option than him.
Oh, and what's the trick to the miss playoffs question? Does it have to be someone that made it last year?

I just picked the top PPG players from last year. If he's not still playing, it's up to you to find someone else.
Yes, you have to pick a team that made the playoffs last year that won't make it this year.

I'll just use your logic, then. Take out Ribeiro and the injured Ellis and replace them with Mattias Ehkolm and Craig Smith. They're not great, but they've got to be better than two guys that won't be putting on skates for months at the earliest.
I'll stick with Pitt not making the playoffs. It's clear from the rest of my choices that I'm not actually trying to win this thing.

Kreegs should have to make his picks from among the players who don't currently have points.

Honestly havent even been paying attention. Not sure who the big points people even are at this point! But I will do that if you think it is more fair.

I'm just teasing, but also because I think that would be an interesting challenge!

I haven't seen or heard much about anything except for the Toronto routing on opening night and that the Wild lost to Detroit. Been busy with medical things with my daughter. I essentially just picked guys that I have had from my previous years of participating in the hockey pool! Really have no idea how people are doing so far this season. Let me know if I need to change anything!

P Kane
Other 8 players
M Stone
E Staal
M Zuccarello

A Kopitar
C Perry
