Nothing better than the battle of Pennsylvania in the East (though probably nowhere near 2012 playoff series).

Thank you Sedins.

Updated possible outcomes

Boston/Tampa v Columbus/Jersey/Philly/Florida
0.0000000000001 % chance of a tiebreaker game between the two bolded teams on Tuesday if NY Rangers win by two goals; Florida win their remaining games in the shootout. The tiebreaker game is played in the same format as the playoffs so imagine an all-nighter.

Annnnnnnd everything is gone... just as I was afraid of.

Oh well, maybe next year we’ll get a tiebreaker game (from a outside team and the second wild card holder).

The Philly Penguins dream is still alive.

Also this might make the Florida game for Boston easier tomorrow.

LG Avs, Bruins, Preds, Caps and Canes!

Nashville vs. Colorado —- (NAS in 5)
• No varly, and Colorado is snowed in themselves.

Vegas vs. Los Angeles —- (VEG in 6)
• Vegas makes history in the post season in their first year as an expansion franchise.

Winnipeg vs. Minnesota —- (WPG in 5)
• Jets win a playoff game and a series for the first time in team history [absorbed from Atlanta].

We pretty much have the brackets set now.

If anyone else (I know kong and kit will be) wants to guess the Round 1 winners + how many games each series will go for feel free and we can run a little competition (separate from the main one) I have another tab set up in my google doc.

1 point for correct team, 0.5 point for correct game total, 0.5 point for getting team+game correct. So a possible 2 points on every answer.

Here's my guesses
Boston/Tampa v Jersey (Winner Boston or Tampa 4 games)

Boston/Tampa v Toronto (Winner Boston or Tampa 5 games)

Washington v Columbus (Winner Washington 4 games)

Pittsburgh v Philly (Winner Pittsburgh 6 games)

Nashville v Colorado (Winner Nashville 4 games)

Winnipeg v Minnesota (Winner Winnipeg 5 games)

Vegas v LA (Winner Vegas 7 games)

Anaheim v San Jose (Winner Anaheim 6 games)
I'll update the scores on the yearly comp later today once I'm 100% everything updated.

I just updated the scores nothings final until we find out who wins the Stanley Cup but so far.

1st - 570 - Slurmee (+20 Nashville) Best 1st, Worst 1st.
2nd - 477 - Kreeg (No extra points) Best 2nd, Worst 3rd.
3rd - 457 - Kong Wen (+20 Pittsburgh) Best 2nd, Worst 4th.
4th - 442 - Kitroplious (+20 Vegas) Best 3rd, Worst 4th.
5th - 352 - Claytone (+20 Nashville) Best 5th, Worst 6th.
6th - 333 - 0 pointer (+20 Colorado) Best 5th, Worst 6th.

If Pittsburgh wins the cup Kong will knock Kreeg off for the 2nd spot as he wins the tiebreaker of adding the 7th best players score. JVR 54 Kong, Zuccarello 53 Kreegs.

If Vegas wins the cup Kit will knock Kong off for the 3rd spot.

If Colorado wins the cup 0 pointer will knock Claytone off for the 5th spot. (I think you're pretty safe Claytone).

This is the first time running the event this way how did everyone like it?

Are the question scores fair (+5 each)?
Any changes you'd like to see?
Any rules you want to add (eg only 2 players over 0.80 Goals a game)

Also just a reminder to get your playoff round 1 prediction in. Look a few post above for details.

Kong is there any ways we can add little trophies under our names for winning the hockey pool?

I'm not making picks until after this last game, because I think Toronto has a better chance of beating Tampa than Boston... but still not a great chance against either.

As for the pool, I can write more in a bit, but I think it was excellent this year (other than my terrible picks). I'll look into adding a little trophy or something to the profile. It shouldn't take too much effort.

Your answers for Boston beating Toronto compared to Tampa can be different.

Also if anyone does pick before the playoffs start and something crazy happens like Rask gets injured in the Florida game you’re welcome to change your picks just make a new post don’t edit it as I might not see it.
