Chrom or Xander?

It's been a long time since I rolled anything, period. Mrs. Kong has had great luck on her account, though. Her very first summon was Eirika. Then she summoned three stones on the Blazing Shadows focus and got Hector on her first roll. Last night she did one spin around the Spring focus and got Carrot Chrom and Man-Robin. She's only spent like 60 orbs and has a roster to make me jealous!

I could actually make a team of 4 of them, but it would suck balls. I have Selena, Gunter, Sophia, Michalis, Bunny Xander, Alfonse and Palla (a bad one). I even have Selena and 5* Spring Xander, so this will be a good week for me I think.

I can run Michalis. I guess I could run Alfonse, too, but that would be a terrible decision. I don't think I'll be beating my score of 4510 this week (which, incidentally, wasn't even enough to stay in the top 10,000!).

Wow, they are really dumping the content on us this week.

On top of the Spring Festival, we've got the Wyvasus voting gauntlet starting this week with two supporting summon focus banners, as well as the Navarre GHB starting tomorrow as well. He should also have a Battling Navarre banner, which means we'd have four banners to choose from for a while (and the Navarre one is pretty good, at least for me—Caeda, Effie, Kagero, and Sophia).

That banner is 2/4.

Kagero and Effie are good, but the others are as trashy as it gets. Sophia is probably the worst mage in the entire game while Caeda doubles as probably the worst pegasus knight and worst sword user. Caeda has some use at least for her rare fortify fliers ability. Sophia is entirely useless outside of being a bonus unit for the arena.

Overall I'm honestly not that interested in any of these filler banners. I'll just wait for the next one. I don't have many orbs anyways.

I wouldn't mind getting a Caeda just because I don't have her yet. But yeah, Sophia is the trap unit in that banner.

Man, the April Update is pretty huge. Hero Merit allows us to grind out an additional 2000 Hero Feathers per character, which will make an impact over the long haul (and it comes with a handy little feature that lets us see a roster of all characters sorted by Merit in the menu). Not to mention the bump to 99 Stamina makes grinding a bit more viable. They've also essentially added a fourth skill slot, for skills that can be found and changed between your characters. The 2 Orb/day login bonus is back for 17 days. There's an event coming on the 14th with 4 new characters in a summon focus banner and a new paralogue to support FE Echoes.

I've tried Fire Emblem Heroes now. Grindy and moderately enjoyable so far. It's hard to know which of my characters are actually good. I got a 5 star Roy, he can push my other characters to enable a quick first strike. I like that.

-5* characters will almost always be better than 4* or 3*.

These are very important and will give you an idea of how worthwhile your characters are. You can check a character's IVs if they are level 1 or level 40.

I'm not into the Gaiden characters. The rest of the update was nice though. Hero Merit is cool but is a long term sort of payoff. It's going to take forever to build up even 500 merit, let alone 2000. The best improvements for me are 99 stamina and character swap. 99 stamina is great for me because I basically play one to two times per day: once before I go to sleep and once in the morning. Sometimes I only play at one of those times or the other if I have to get up early.
