Old Vancouver (Canucks) win, but new Vancouver (LA Kings) are shutout on banner night.
Vey was the only person that helped me, though (but he's on my reserves). The four San Jose goals didn't help me at all; and obviously my whole core group has been quiet, because of LA (and other teams didn't play).
Vey got an assist on the second Canucks goal.

I've updated the spreadsheet after the first night of regular season action! #PuckDrop
Slurm's off to a good start, getting two points out of Sedin and Marleau.
Kit's strategy of having a bunch of players from the same team could pay off (since they can all get points off each other), but last night shows the drawback of that plan, with LA getting shut out and leaving him with nothing.
Kreegs and Clay and I didn't really have anyone playing in last night's games, but we should start logging some points tonight with 24 teams in action!

I'm a bit surprised Pavelski didn't get a point. Dodged a temporary bullet there.
It's a good thing hockey's only on tonight! All the other teams I have [didn't play last night] are playing tonight.

UPDATE: 10:23 PM PT
Well, my priority group got me on the board tonight. Kesler had a pretty good game with three points (1G, 2A)
Dan Boyle got injured with a broken hand and will miss 4-6 weeks. I originally requested for a sub, but forgot your rule...
Kong Wen wrote:- As soon as a guy misses 20 games* you're allowed to call up a reserve to replace him.
- You are allowed to call up a reserve who has missed 20 games, but you're not allowed to send him back down again unless you use one of your New Year substitutions (i.e. a guy can only be sent down for missing games once).
- Once you send a player to the reserves due to missed games, the GM stat will be replaced with an X.

Boy, it was nice for the Preds to get a win (and for me to get a handful of points as a result). Bridgestone looked packed! Hopefully our new coaching situation will pan out.

Why's the spreadsheet adding the reserve numbers to the scores?

Maybe some of the cells are off? Mine are counted fine (reserves are recorded, but not counting toward my score).
[EDIT] All looks good to me, Slurm. The reserve players are being recorded, but they aren't adding to the points totals.

Kreegs and I are getting even more work out of our reserves than our main lineups, which is impressive given that we're 1st and 2nd place! Han demonstrated razor-sharp draft efficiency by getting almost all of his points out of his main roster and almost none in reserves... better hope no one gets injured. And Han and I managed to get the best "opening night" spread, with 6 of our top 10 players logging points.
I think the Islanders and Hurricanes still have to play tonight? And then every team will have played at least one game.
Vic got screwed in the opener in kind of a different way from Kit. While Kit's egg-filled basket put up a goose egg on Wednesday, Vic actually has a lot of high-performing players who laid eggs. There's some dynamite in that lineup, though, so they don't necessarily need to score every night.
This is fun!
