This is the season that my new favorite character, the Night King, just slaughters everyone and claims the throne. Super BA ending.

And then Season 8 is just him enacting really fair laws and administering the affairs of state with an even hand. The people all benefit, and corruption is rooted out. Plus the people of Westeros learn how to ski.

Watched the first episode of the season. Not sure if others have yet. I love the opening, but called out what was happening right away. Mrs. K was super confused. I think the episode nicely set up what this season is all about, and I can't wait to get further in the individual narratives now that they are all going to come together soon. Really good episode to set up the season.

After the first 5 minutes it was pretty boring which is common for episode 1's

It was good for what I was expecting it to be. Basic intro to get you back in the flow.

To keep things spoiler free:
They are really trying to get all stuff that has fulfilled it's purpose out of the way at quite a pace in this season.

Yes, they're definitely increasing the pace. Combine that with some longer episodes later in the season and I think we're in for some big shifts. It's been a good season, so far.
