I actually think this course is most like a real mario course that I have made.
Still have this one bookmarked! I lent the game to my niece so I'll have to play your new levels at a later date. I can't remember, have you tried any of my levels?

Also, gave a few of your newly uploaded levels stars the last time I played EvilDevil!

Not sure how effective this is, but if you want to give your levels more publicity, try updating the levels info on the Mario Maker bookmark site. You can add tags to it like puzzle, shooter, gimmick ect. If you add tags people will be able to see your level when searching for that specific tag.

I just need five more stars to double my upload limit. Help me.
Just beat one of yours (the mushroom rush). Insanely hard dude! I died so many times! Really well designed though. I wish there was more foresight or less scrolling, but it was still doable! The ending was really clever! Did you think of that yourself, or see it elsewhere?

First thing I did when the bookmark site opened.

The basic idea was seen before, even in official Mario games. The end stopped scrolling so it seemed like it made sense there. I would've added a checkpoint there, but that's a pre-checkpoint update stage. I figure I'd upload a 2.0 (or really, a 3.0 since I reuploaded it with some fixes earlier) once I get more upload power. Thinking of replacing the piranha plant part with bumpers. Two stars to go before I can, though. Thanks guys.

I'll give you two right now. Do you ever upload levels that don't make me want to throw my gamepad at the tv??!!?

BTW, I have the record on two of your levels ;)

I can't decide if I want to make really hard levels, or ones that pose a challenge, but are still fun to play.

Thanks. I don't intend to do pure challenge. I try to have a gimmick that works for a full stage. My most popular stage, Cloud Muncher Valley, is a great example of that. It was the third or fourth stage I uploaded, and was the first one where I realized that I shouldn't always go for the longest possible stage length. I also like the idea of making hidden powerups to simplify levels. My Junior's Airship stage has a few hidden stars that will instantly kill Bowser Jr, allowing to easily steal his vehicle to victory.

I reuploaded what was my second course, Mind Over Manor. I changed the Hammer Bro near the beginning with a chain chomp, and retooled the end to use bumpers, which I think makes it easier. E0ED-0000-0178-A528

I also uploaded a new stage. It's a NSMB style speed run stage featuring bumpers. No autoscroll, but the timer is set to 60 seconds. It's possible to beat it in under 40, so no big deal. I wanted to use the SMB3 style, but the air stall in NSMB makes the jumps a lot more bearable: 3289-0000-0178-A0E3

I'll have to check them out. What were your impressions of my castle level? I am trying to get better at making levels, so any positives and negatives would be great for feedback!

Just uploaded a PACMAN level!

Let me know what you think!!!

Should it be tagged as a gimmick or a puzzle?
