JINGOISM AHOY. I managed to send the Nazis back to hell on our Independence Day, and I can't help but be pleased with that.

Actually really had a blast with this game. Beat it on Über, which was reasonably tough, but not awful. I was also surprised that there was actually some decent substance to the plot rather than the mindless Nazi slaying of the rest of the series. Nothing wrong with the latter, but it was a nice change of pace. In any case, this game comes highly recommended.

Completed:
2/16 - The Walking Dead (Vita)
2/26 - Pac-Man: Championship Edition (XBLA)
3/10 - Ratchet & Clank (PS3 [PS2])
3/15 - MediEvil (PSOne Classics)

Yo, Vic, what do you consider "finished" for that game? I always have a hard time defining a "beat" point for games that amount to little more than a bunch of challenges (unless the developers insert the credits somewhere, which makes it easier). I've 5-starred every amateur course and am working on the same through pro, but since I still haven't reached credits, so I don't really know what to say is "beaten" until I pretty much 100% the game.

I know it's mostly just semantics and it doesn't really matter how either of us defines the term with respect to this game, I just wanted to know your perspective.

Without having played the game, it sounds like the modes after amateur are mostly difficulty mode increases on more or less the same stages. I'd probably consider clearing every stage on amateur to be a cheap beat, and clearing rad to be a tough complete.

Fatal Labyrinth (Genesis via PS3) - beaten on February 23rd

The Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse HD (PSN) - beaten on May 31st
Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness Episode Two (PSN) - beaten on June 4th
1943: Battle of Midway (arcade via PS3) - beaten on June 13th
Journey (PSN) - beaten on June 17th

New one:
+ Fighting Fantasy: Creature of Havoc (iOS) - beaten on July 12th

This had to be one of the most complicated Fighting Fantasy adventures I've had the pleasure of going through. It was quite difficult, too, but I guess they generally are. There's so many ways you can screw up your adventure in ways you cannot recover from. It had a pretty nifty and deep back story, too, which is a little unusual. I'm four games shy of tying last year's beat count now.

2014 total games beaten = 13
2013 total games beaten = 17
2012 total games beaten = 37
2011 total games beaten = 35

In this case, I've beaten all amateur and pro stages with five stars. Considering that the beat, clearing rad mode will be the complete, and all trophies for 100%.

Rad mode just forces you to clear all amateur and pro stages with 100% perfect grinds and landings, but doesn't otherwise bring any new challenges or stages to the table, so my current state of completion was good for the beat, for me.

[EDIT]

I do fully intend to 100% this game. Fantastic stuff!

I still love this game. There were a lot of nice changes in this latest edition, including two pretty substantial new areas, at least 7 new enemies, some tweaks to existing areas, a few more hilarious video game references & in-jokes, and a couple new abilities.
