Platinum trophy #78: Monster Hunter Wilds (PS5)
Updated this to a Platinum after much crown hunting, thanks to excellent teamwork from the TONe guild. About 160 hours in for the whole works. I have almost 600 hours in
World and am still missing 2 crowns for the Platinum for that, so this one feels good.

Platinum trophy #77: Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster (PS4)
Since this was only my third time beating FF5, I decided to go apeshit completionist and get & max everything. That's probably what made this seem longer than I remembered. Fun game that definitely has a lot of elements that bridge FF4 and FF6... but it's tough to measure up to both of those.

Platinum

is
Platinum from
C-Smash VRS!
Very mellow trophy set for this brilliant and stylish VR racquetball/squash game. Mostly involves things that will come naturally with play (like grinding out good ranks, finishing the 1P mode, achieving certain rally lengths, etc.). I got one of the trickier ones in the also-supported non-VR gamepad mode, but all the rest was pretty much just normal play.
Really enjoying this one and will probably try to get some of the (free) DLC trophies as well.

Platinum trophy #79: Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune & Dunan Unification Wars (PS5)
One platinum trophy for two complete RPGs was quite the task, but it was fun revisiting Suikoden and spending a proper amount of time with Suikoden II, since I didn't complete it back in the day. I have many complicated thoughts about the revered sequel. One day.

Platinum trophy #80: Trip World DX (PS5)
I needed a snappy palate cleanser after beating
Final Fantasy,
Final Fantasy II,
Final Fantasy III,
Final Fantasy IV,
Final Fantasy V,
Final Fantasy VI,
Final Fantasy VI again,
Suikoden, and
Suikoden II this year, and this recommendation from Clay resonated well.
The soundtrack goes unreasonably hard for a little 5-stage green-and-green 1-hour game.

Platinum trophy #81: The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe (PS5)
This is a funny little game in the genre of "you can do what you want and the devs have planned and accounted for your choices." It has many endings. I enjoyed it. The best trophy is "super go outside" which requires you to not play the game for 10 years—a feat that I
technically legitimately did (though not for the purposes of the trophy).

Platinum trophy #82: Lunar: Remastered Collection (PS4)
Two of the greatest classic-era JRPGs of all time in one package. Playing through these again was a great nostalgia trip. I had played the first one a couple times (on Sega CD once, and on PSX twice), but I never got all the way through the sequel. I bounced off it when I tried to play it before, maybe because I was so attached to the original cast, but this time it hit just right. I'm glad I stuck with it, because it ended up being just as great as the original—even better in some ways (although it's hard to beat the original cast).

Platinum trophy #83: Monster Hunter: World (PS4)
One of my proudest trophy-hunting achievements of my career, after starting the game at launch in 2018 and playing it for almost 700 hours with my friends as a primary hangout social game, over seven (7) years later, I finally got the last giant crown elder dragon for my final trophy for my platinum. Great game, don't get me wrong! Great game. But man, this was a doozy of a hunt. It's still sitting at 1.1% after all this time, meaning it's a real rare son of a bitch platinum. So glad to finally get it!

Platinum trophy #84: Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster (PS4)
Alright, I finally built up the nerve to go back and tackle Final Fantasy VI for my third time this year (well, second-and-a-halfth, after getting to the World of Ruin and missing a bestiary entry, then restarting and completing the game 100% only to be faced with a glitched treasure hunter trophy). I saw the Pixel Remaster got two patches since my last run, so I figured I would try to get everything again, and thankfully, the trophy wasn't bugged this time.
So, that's it for the entire Pixel Remaster bundle. I may revisit some time in the future to get some challenge runs done on the earlier games, but that won't be till the distant future for sure.
