I actually didn't see most of the level because I took the Lakitu cloud right away :p. The level looked to be well designed though.
With your mushroom level, the first half is sort of redundant, there's no reason to avoid the mushrooms because you can go straight to the check point and then from there start as small Mario. Good level length those.
P switch level gave me a bit of trouble, but I beat it. Surprised that you trigger the switches even when they are a block below your feet.
I'm about 75% done the level I've been working on. Blends a little bit of puzzle and a little bit of action. Not sure yet if it's genius or a hot mess, but I like it.

Awesome! Do you think I should grt rid of the checkpoint??
I also didnt know about thr P switches activating like that. When I found that out I just went with it! Its so deceptive at times! Did you let Bowser clear your path at the end or did you just carry over a P switch??

No. But I think before the checkpoint you should make it that only small Mario can pass.
And right before the fight I thought maybe I should bring a P Switch with me and immediately regretted not bringing one :p

Kreegs wrote:I updated the Above and Below level so you have to actually play it again Shoe. Let me know which route you took!
I also updated the small Mario level to address the checkpoint concern, as well as that part that you got stuck.
Let me know what you think of the changes!
I took the pipe at the top left. I will say that the spikes stop you from taking the clouds, they also kind of look a little unnatural and take away from the classic feeling of the level. I would have just put the lakitu's higher so the player couldn't use them, or introduce them later in the stage. The part in the underground section with the blue skulls could use an arrow at the end to point which way to go. Twice I tried going to the right and died, was especially confused when I used the secret door :p I don't expect you to re upload though, I enjoyed it.

Personally, the level still has too many enemies for me to want to finish it, just a bit overwhelming. The check point was nice so I made it a little further this time, though I would have preferred the first check point to be in the under water section and the second to be after that section, but that's just because I got tired of repeating the under water part :p

The second checkpoint is already at the start of the second underwater section, so it would be too hard to keep a balance there. I feel I made the stage a bit more forgiving this go around, making the parabuzzies less mandatory and adding a reset door during a small cannon jump segment near the end of the stage.

I'll have to give it another shot then! I could definitely see the improvements though.

Alright gang, after many hours I've finally finished my latest level: Prison Break
Find it here: https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintend ... apeTheFate
Or here: 454F-0000-01B5-01A4
It's a bit of puzzle, a bit of action, a bit of platforming; a little bit of everything. I had many more ideas for the puzzle section involing Yoshi and whatnot, but in the end I decided that it's better to have a level that's short and sweet. The only part that might drag a bit is the end, let me know if I went overboard with that part. Overall I'd say the level is of middling difficulty, which is what I like to go for.
