Colored is fun, but grey looks really sleek. I switch between the two right now.
Dude, I know what you mean. I'll probably snag a set of greys at some point just to give myself the option. I'll probably get the opposite-side neons, as well, so I can fully mix & match.

That's a lot of money for 3 sets of Joycons!

At max I think I will have 2 sets of joycons and 2 procons. I have one of each right now and I know I will get another procon for Mario Kart because Mrs. K will need one.

They're making racing wheels. :)

That kind of makes me even sadder—if they're tracking time, and just not showing us the details. Although, it could be that they're still working on the actual play-time app (since they're still working on everything), and when it comes out it'll be able to harvest all that data. That would be swell.
At the very least there's a potential for an activity log that has been keeping track of playtime since the beginning.
I downloaded the Switch Parental Control app last week and linked it to my Switch. Since then, I get a log of playtimes sent to that app. If I had known that, I would've installed that app from the start.

Anyway, I still hope there will be a log on the system itself. But there already was a log ability by using the parental controls...

rofl

Well, maybe when they finish making the Switch they'll include that functionality, since they already have it lying around somewhere.

Oh yeah! I use the wheel all the time! That's why I am so good!

Splatoon Testfire thoughts

- Very smooth experience, from online connection to game flow. Looks like they improved on a lot of the ink effects because the game just looks nicer overall, more details in the maps too.
- Splat dualies are great, nice wide reticle and a good dodge. Feels like a fast momentum weapon. Roller feels a little faster, and the jump swing is a good balancing act. The special move for the roller where you slam the ground with ink is great too.
- Game looks and works great in portable mode.
- Jump is now B instead of X and it messes me up every time.
- Demo makes me more interested to see what else is new in the game, as turfwar in particular feels pretty same-y. Hopefully lots of new modes.

Interested in the roller changes! I love that thing. Wish I was home to try it out. Glad you were able to try it and report back!

I experienced some weirdness with my Switch this weekend, and I believe it has something to do with the microSD.
My earlier tests with a memory card have been done with the 32GB one I use with my mp3 player. It has been in the Switch only for the operations of copying the screenshots and transfer them somwhere else.

Friday I received the 128GB I bought specifically for the Switch and since then I started having two separate problems:
1) I couldn't download the beta of Splatoon 2. It would present me a little X on the progress bar right away and said there was an error.
2) Screen capture didn't seem to work properly. At one time, some new captures were listed as corrupted, a couple of minutes later, the system couldn't access the SD card at all and said it was unreadable. Swapped it several times between the console and my computer which also said the card was corrupted, until the Switch was finally and mysteriously fine with it. The corrupted images where nowhere to be seen, and I still have to see what my computer says about it.

I set the default save location for captures on the main system memory but this weird experience, which has never happened before I had the SD card, led me to think that direct save to the card memory is unstable.

With this notion I then tried to download Splatoon 2 without the SD inserted and it succeeded without a problem. Sure the timeslots were over (I couldn't try it) and the server were less loaded, but it looked like the problem might have been the same.
I didn't find an option to tell the system the default location where to save dowloaded software.

Just wanted to tell you my experience. Someone else has similar problems with microSDs?

Interesting, I haven't had an opportunity yet to try an SD card. I think I've specifically heard of issues with a particular SanDisk 128 GB micro SD card, but apparently that was due to it being counterfeit off Amazon.
