Lots of people have had issues with the Pro D pad. I tried playing Blaster Master and couldn't stand it, went right back to the joy con.

Yeah Kong summerized what I was telling him yesterday. I noticed it while playing shovel knight. I would always use magic attack when I was just trying to jump and shovel. That game you have to hold left or right to move in the air.

I have heard good things about the SNES pads. I never owned one, so I went with the colored buttons because I like the look. I almost bought a real one in Japan just because it looked cool and was only like 10 bucks at a used game store. Hopefully Nintendo will announce some VC goodness this week. I would love to play some SNES games with the actual controller.

Kreegs just ordered one of those from that same company. I don't think he got the ones made specifically for Switch though (sticks, home button, etc.).

they sell those things for PC too (minus motion controls I presume). They're pretty dope.

Yeah these ones were just announced at e3 so I thought they were topical, same brand as the ones Kreegs bought.

You're going to create Kreegs tears. I wonder when these new ones will go on sale. I'll happily get one.

Although... I gotta say, in Kreegs's favour... it does look like the dpad and face buttons are slightly skewed up on the new controllers, so they might not feel as authentic.

No tears. I bought the one that was just like a SNES one. Id rather use a pro controller than one of these hybrid retro things. I didnt go retro for sticks!!

Tat's kind of what I figured! I suppose this is a nice option if you like having the sticks at the same level, and a presumably responsive d-pad. Also, I imagine this controller is supported on other consoles + PC
