I actually know quite a few people who desperately want Mario Galaxy in HD, though I'll admit I'm not one of them.

The more I hear Sunshine mentioned, the more I think it would make for a great remaster. It's pretty much the one truly unheralded main-series Mario game. Even Super Mario Bros. 2 gets re-released and ported all the time.
It's just begging for a re-release, though the only issue is the trigger buttons, still baffles me why Nintendo didn't make the ZR/ZL buttons like the Gamecube's. I'm sure they could just use the L button as a light spray and the ZL button as a heavy spray though.

Again it's too soon for me, but more than that I feel like Galaxy already looks very good in SD. What would Wii U add to it as well, less motion controls?

Are those upresed shots? I saw the first picture earlier and assumed that's what the game looked like already.

It would look definitely look better, but it would need more than that to justify re-releasing it on the same system.

That much goes without saying. Probably for $39.99 or so.

That's what I'm saying, I'm not sure what the Wii U would add to the game beyond HD visuals. I guess they would throw Miiverse support in there somewhere, I wonder if you could still play the game with a Wii Remote. How would the sections where you balance on a ball and roll to the goal work, or the star bits?

I guess the best thing they could do is add more levels.

How about throwing in a Best of Nintendo HD collection of Super Metroid, Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Star Fox, Kirby's Return to Dream Land... just to name a few!

Or even Super Mario Sunshine Space Collection of Super Mario Sunshine and the Galaxy games! :P

Well we now know the answer to the mystery and it seems that none of us were exactly right:

http://www.siliconera.com/2014/08/29/xe ... tendo-3ds/

I have to say I find this news underwhelming and disappointing.

One of the chief reasons that Xenoblade remains the only unbeaten "rainfall" game for me among the three is not just it's immense scale but also that I have never yet been in a position to play it as I'd like to. i.e. on a GIANT TELEVISION

The game's vast, enormous world cries out to be played big screen and big sound, not to mention in HD which the Wii couldn't offer.

So what does Nintendo do? They shrink it down and put it on a portable.

Terrible decision.
