Beaten:
1/17 - Mortal Kombat X (Xbone)
1/31 - Blast Corps (Xbone [N64])
3/6 - Pokémon Edición Azul (3DS [VC])
3/23 - Shovel Knight (Wii U)

Can't believe how long it took me to get around to this game, but I'm glad I finally did (a perk of waiting was that I got to play its shelf-adorning physical release). Shovel Knight is a game of its type done right. I was initially a bit hesitant to play it because I figured it had a 50/50 shot of being either lame or great. Turned out to be the latter! I don't think I love it quite as much as some people did, but it was definitely a lot of fun. I'll have to check out the included Plague of Shadows and see what it's all about.

Yeah it's really a retro-inspired game done right. It's not the game to end all games, but a very enjoyable experience. I found it to have a lot of replay value as well.

Beat:
(Feb 7) - Shovel Knight (3DS)
(Feb 16) - Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy (3DS)
Complete
(Jan 10) - SteamWorld Heist (3DS)
(Mar 22) The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD (Wii U)

I really enjoyed TP HD, I forgot how good the game was really. It was a pretty nostalgic experience, you don't see a lot of games with this kind of structure anymore. The game took a little bit of a dip near the end as it felt like they were just trying to cram some late game content in, but overall very enjoyable.

Beat:
(Feb 7) - Shovel Knight (3DS)
(Feb 16) - Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy (3DS)
(Mar 25) - The Legend of Zelda Triforce Heroes (3DS)
Complete
(Jan 10) - SteamWorld Heist (3DS)
(Mar 22) - The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD (Wii U)

Made it to the end of Triforce Heroes today. The game actually has quite a bit of content so I still have a bit to do. I actually beat it in single player because I didn't have the patience to search for a good team :p The game is a blast in multiplayer though.

3/28 - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS3 [PS2]) (2x)

I returned to the MGS game that got me into the series in order to snag what looked like a reasonable Platinum. I could have done it all on very easy, but I wanted to get the No Kills trophy on European Extreme (hardest difficulty), and I did! That was a lot of fun. I used continue after continue, but ultimately, I finished the game on its most challenging setting by nonlethal means, and that felt rewarding.

...Then I went back and beat it on Very Easy to snag all the collectibles-related trophies I'd missed. That was a lot of fun too. Running around just doing goofy shit because of how absurdly oblivious the min-level AI is was tons of fun, and it was a low-pressure environment to grab all the wildlife I missed on my EE playthrough.

To anyone with an interest in MGS, I would recommend this as a challenging but within-reach platinum. I enjoyed going back to the game that got me hooked on Kojima's special brand of crazy. Might have to do it again for MGS4, since I beat that one before they added trophies to it.

Yes, there's definitely lots more I could do! Whether or not I'll ever get around to it is a different story, but the game isn't lacking for replay value.

3/23 - Shovel Knight (Wii U)

Haven't played any of these games in quite some time, but I enjoyed this one. Incidentally, there was a PSN sale on LEGO games on PSN this past weekend, so I grabbed LEGO Batman 2. I'll have to give it a shot some time when I want a lighthearted gaming experience.
