Mar 23. Super Mario Advance (GBA NSO)
Good to play SMB3 again, this time the All-Stars version, which is version I grew up with but then ended up playing more of the NES game with successive consoles. Love the SNES-ified music and extra backgrounds and details. Also, can't beat that title screen!
Felt like comparing the GBA port to the SNES so I have that a go, but this time using all the skips and whistle I could. Kind of fun seeing the additional story in the GBA game, and some changed dialogue. I think this is the best looking version with how bright the GBA's colors were.
And what the heck, may as well play the GBA SMB2. This one has a lot of extra health, as well as the addition of collectable coins and Yoshi eggs. Makes for a bit more of a rounded experience. Not a fan of how they changed some designs though, like the inside of the "pipes". Also the voices get a bit tiring after a while.
