Beaten:
1/7 - Dead Rising 4 (Xbone)
1/15 - Pokémon Luna (3DS)
1/22 - Bayonetta 2 (Wii U)
2/4 - Double Dragon IV (PSN)
2/5 - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (Wii U)
2/20 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered (PS4 [PS3])
3/26 - The Legend of Zelda (3DS [NES])

The release of Breath of the Wild inspired me to finally knock this game off the backlog in the downtime during my ski trip this weekend. It was fun! I used a guide for most of the second half of the game with little shame. Finding some of the dungeons in the overworld is stupidly difficult with the useless hints given in-game. Also, the expectation of the player to just arbitrarily bomb walls in the later dungeons was poorly designed. The combat is great, though, and there are plenty of good puzzles dispersed among the more questionable ones. Glad to have beaten it. Think I'll have to break out Link to the Past again as well. It's one of the many Zeldas I've only played a portion of, and it's pretty much a substantially more well-executed version of the original.

Breath of the Wild should join this list soon. :)

3/29 - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)

According to my Switch, I've played approximately 80 hours of this, and never have 80 hours of a game passed by as effortlessly as they did for me in BotW. Not once did I feel like I was grinding or forcing myself through anything. A joy to play, every minute of it.

My itch to defeat Ganon did eventually overwhelm me, though, so I did it. Whether or not having done so will diminish my interest in continuing to play this remains to be seen (although I had a "deadline" of sorts in mind anyway with Persona 5's early April release), but I don't regret having gone ahead and finished it regardless.

I don't think I've ever said this before, but I look forward to the DLC!

That's something I take away from BOTW as well, 135 hours in and I still enjoy every second. Still feels like it's my first week playing the game.

I also sought out to beat the original LOZ in preparation for BOTW. I used a guide here and there as well. Not interested in bombing every single wall, but I still managed to find quite a few secrets on my own. That last dungeon was a tough one to get through though.

Finished:
(Jan 09) Paper Mario Color Splash (Wii U)
(Feb 03) Bloodborne (PS4)
(Feb 07) Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest (3DS)
(Feb 14) Code Name S.T.E.A.M (3DS)
(Feb 22) The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (GB)
(Feb 23) The Legend of Zelda (NES)
(Feb 28) Shovel Knight - Plague of Shadows (3DS)
(Mar 23) Blaster Master Zero (Switch)

Complete:
(Jan 11) Shantae Half-Genie Hero (Wii U)
(Feb 24) Super Mario Run - Tour Mode (IOS)
(April 11) Snake Pass (Switch)

All done with Snake Pass now. It was a very enjoyable physics/platformer, lots of little trinkets to find - but not too many! It's a little on the short side, took me maybe 10ish hours to find everything? Hard to compare the Canadian price of $30 to US $20 though. It was a great game to have portable, I only threw it on the TV a couple times.

I also beat Blaster Master Zero and apparently forgot to record it. That was also a fun game, a little on the short and easy side, but good content for $10. Really cool HD rumble.

Specter Knight is all done, found all the collectables and upgraded everything to the max. It was a really great addition to Shovel Knight, in fact it will make it hard going back to Shovel Knight considering how basic he is compared to Specter Knight.

After about 170 hours Zelda is done! Fantastic game, and I'm certainly not done with it. I still have about 12 shrines left I need to find, and I'll be going back for all the Korok seeds once the DLC hits.
