Kreegs finally passed me last night to move into 3rd place. Kreegs and I are both creeping up on Vic again (within 3 and 4 points respectively). Notably, Datsyuk is on pace to score 86 points, despite missing 11 games at the start of the season! His injuries were the main reason I didn't draft him, but it looks like that was a mistake (I picked Sharp instead, and now he's out with a knee injury). Alas!

Jean Beliveau has died at the age of 83. He's before our time, but anyone who has a love for the game knows what this man meant for the Habs, and for hockey. I expect Montréal will be doing a comprehensive celebration of his life and career before the puck drops at their next home game. Sad news, but a full life. RIP.

This is just a short time after Pat Quinn passed away. Man, it's sad about the news about both of these guys. All the accomplishments they have made... it's tough.

Gordie Howe's not doing so well either, after his (at least) second stroke. The Golden Age giants are now golden-aged, and they're starting to fall.

About time! I was waiting to get over that hump!

...while I keep slipping away (but at least LA is back on track [winning], as I said earlier!)

I can't believe how many points Voracek keeps getting playing on the Flyers! They don't win many games!

And with that, Kreegs has moved past Vic into 2nd place.
At this point, I'm hoping Sharp can manage to miss 8 more games!

Martin Brodeur will play his first-ever NHL game in a uniform other than a Devils jersey tonight.
