Dream Land 2 is substantially longer than its predecessor (about 4.5 hrs, used save states to decrease some tedium related to collectibles) and a good bit better too. I felt like playing more Kirby after beating Triple Deluxe, so I bought KDL2 on impulse and had plenty of fun. I forgot I had Amazing Mirror as an Ambassador game, but I suppose I could just play that next. Anyway, good game, play it if you're into that kinda thing.

And F-Zero X is for the N64? If it's on Virtual Console I'll give it a try.

It sure is on VC. Its graphics leave a bit to be desired because Nintendo was shooting for a high frame rate. The result is a good sense of speed but pretty plain tracks. Probably the right trade off, really. The comic book aesthetic and rock/metal soundtrack are great, though, and although it doesn't quite reach the breakneck speeds GX does, it keeps a pretty good pace, and if you beat all the cups on Expert and try them on Master, then you'll really have to get moving to win the Grand Prix. Hope you like it!

Marlow Briggs, as many of you might not know, is a God of War clone that plays like a B-movie. Most of the game is pretty entertaining and the gameplay is solid, but towards the end, the enemies fall into damage sponge syndrome and become a real chore to deal with. Nevertheless, it was on sale for a measly dollar for the entire Steam sale (I got it for nearly free after selling some of those dumb trading cards), and I'd say it was well worth that. It's normal price is $5, for which I would still recommend it (I can't immediately think of a game with higher production values that rests at such a low price). Solid game.

It's been an uncomfortably long time since the last time I was able to post in this thread! I finally beat Rogue Legacy this afternoon with a Lv. 141 Barbarian Queen. It's going to be hard to do that in fewer than 15 deaths!!! Even if that somehow becomes possible, there's still the super-bosses... I probably won't complete this game. Regardless, I am going to keep playing it, because it's fun. And who knows, maybe I'll get good!

I have trouble agreeing with the notion that completing the arbitrary goals attached to PBA tables counts as "beating" a game (which I recognize is mostly pedantry and splitting hairs), but it certainly is an accomplishment. What's more, I really like for my posts in this thread to be enormous and annoying for others to scroll past, so I guess I'll start noting these achievements like other folks.

Also, Bride is a really great table, which I somehow didn't realize until recently. I played it IRL at a pinball expo in Atlanta a couple months ago and did better than I usually did on its digital counterpart. After going back to it, my PBA performance improved. Really lots of fun. I'll be returning to this one plenty.
