Gamecube and Wii when the switch comes out in 2 and 3 generations behind the switch. The Wii U played N64 games and was 3 generations behind the Wii U. The Wii played N64 and SNES games which is 2 and 3 generations behind the Wii. I'd hope we see games like SM Sunshine and other great GCN games in the switches VC.

I would grab Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine and Paper Mario Thousand Year Door in a heart beat.

Considering PM TYD is $100+ AUD I'd also grab it in a heartbeat

Thousand Year Door is a great game, but I don't think I could replay it. It's just not really the type of game I consider to have high replay value.

However, there are some games which I missed on Gamecube and Wii. I never played the Baten Kaitos series or console Custom Robo. I also never beat either Pikmin game, so I'd consider replaying those. My more unrealistic wants would be the Kirby Return to Dreamland [Wii], Gotcha Force with online, Naruto GNT4 in English with online and Sin and Punishment 2 [Wii].

I have never played Thousand Year Door, but I loved the original Paper Mario and this game seems always be on the spendier side on used sites. I would love to play this on a new type of VC for GC games.

Nintendo have announced they'll have a live event on Jan 12th for NA and Jan 13th for EU/JP/AU that will announce the price, release date and launch games. Seems like we wont get much info between now and then.

That's why Gamecube and Wii VC would be real neato. Both consoles have a surprising number of decent games which most people, myself included, have missed out on. The introduction of VC for both would allow a lot of people to play some great titles they may have missed.

January is a long way away...I feel like Nintendo is making a bit of a marketing faux-pas by not teasing bits and pieces of their plans slowly. They should try to keep interest in this thing and generate headlines.

When should they do it? December is a messy time of the year and will get hidden by all the other stuff. Switch isn't a christmas present so not many people would buy it as a christmas present. It's almost november now so it would have to be soon and the teaser trailer came out last week. Seems reasonable. Nintendo could still tease stuff between now and then and there might be games announced for it before then too. I don't expect a total switch drought for 2 1/2 months.

I also think Nintendo should trickle some info out from now till January, but I guess they're looking to make a big splash with the event. March is just a weird month.

Focus right now will be promoting the heck out of the Mini NES for the upcoming holiday season. Seems like including some sort of poster or information card for the Switch in the Mini NES box would be a smart move if any marking people from Nintendo are reading this.
