Haha, that plan isn't working out too badly for me either.

That helps Clay when your team is really good! (except against the WIld apparently)

Edmonton won the lottery and gets the 1st overall pick for the 4th time in 6 years.
What do you think edmonton will do?
Keep the pick or trade it?
Trade RNH or Hall or Yakupov or Eberle
They really need something good in Defense.
If I was them I'd trade Yakupov or Eberle or both for some solid D They have RNH as the 1st centre and McDavids as the 2nd so there's not a huge pressure on McDavids to hold the team.
Everyone seems to think edmonton will ruin McDavids but I think he'll be fine.

Seriously fuck the habs fans that started chanting go habs go during the minute of silence for the Ottawa guy who died.

That was one guy, but it was definitely pretty scummy. The rest of the Habs fans there were generally pretty good, although annoying, but that's part of the point of going to an away game. We did get to viciously boo PK Subban every time he touched the puck, which was nice. Shame we lost in OT though, but it was still an exciting game to be at.
I've updated the sheet with all the games I missed over the weekend. Kreegs and Clay are now tied for 1st, with Vic a close 3rd. I did the math, and frighteningly (but as I predicted), I would have the same number of points if I had picked my "good" players as I do now with my all-underdog team. The gambit might not pay off, but at least it's still a statistically smart move.

Ducks sweep Jets.
Kong loses Little and Wheeler who both gave him 1 point each.
Hans loses Ladd who gave him 0 points but Getzlaf goes into the 2nd round.
Kit has Kesler going into the 2nd round.
Everyone else unaffected

Preds will hold on for another game. That one was fun after the 3OT heartbreaker.

Boyle is the second player on my roster to advance to the second round (and the most important for the solo eastern team player); Neal & Bonino once again play elimination games tonight. Niederreiter and the Wild are ahead by one...

Both players on their respective teams eliminated (and unfortunately to the all Nashville line on Claytone's list).

Finished round one with three players/teams in my roster advancing to round 2 (Niederreiter [MIN], Boyle [NYR], Kesler [ANA])
Total round one points: 19
It's too bad Vancouver and Nashville didn't win their series... would have put me in the Stanley Cup Final (if that specific player was healthy enough to play that far).
