They have had a team since 74 and never won a cup. Good enough reason for me!

I want them to continue not winning the Cup. Awful team. I remember watching the playoffs several years ago, maybe during the Jagr days, and the arena was almost empty. The game was going into overtime and the coverage showed people leaving. They just feel entitled to one now that they have Ovechkin. I hope he retires without ever winning a Cup, too!

I at least hope for Chicago to beat Anaheim. I obviously hope for Montreal to beat Tampa, but if they don't, I'd want Tampa to move past the other team to the finals.

Also I love Washington especially Wilson. He played with Nathan Walker 2 years ago in the pre season and ever since then I loved watching Wilson. Big guy plays every shift hard and never gives up exactly what I love to see in a hockey player.

If I hated teams on their fanbase I'd hate Philly and Pittsburgh and Edmonton and probably every other fanbase in the league but I really have no reason to hate the team (apart from ray emery and edmontons staff)

Hell I support the ravens in the nfl and I'm hating all the shit their fans are giving brady at the moment but I don't hate the team.

So many fair whether Avs fans too and tons are saying TRADE DUCHENE but I still like my team as the fanbase is seperate and I know that every teams in any sport has fucking stupid/awful fans but that doesn't make the team stupid/awful. (Except Minnesota (Kreeg ) Minnesota and Nino Niederreiter is literally the devil)

Slurm still has Stepan and Yandle.
Kreegs still has Stamkos, Kane, and Nash.
Kit still has Kesler and Boyle.
Kong still has Filppula.
Han still has Getzlaf and St. Louis.
Vic still has Toews.
Clay is out, but he won't finish in last place unless Filppula scores 6 points.

Stepans goal counts for like 10 points right cos it was so important. Pls you guys...

Slurm has managed to claw his way into 3rd place thanks to strong performances in high-scoring losing efforts from Yandle and Stepan. He's behind Vic by 5 points, who is in turn 10 behind Kreegs's Stamkos/Kane/Nash machine.

The way I feel about bad or fickle fanbases is that no matter what team you're talking about in any league, SOMEBODY out there is a diehard superfan of them. So I try to look at it in that light when the team succeeds. Sure, there are "bad" fans or whatever, but some diehard, poor bastard fan is finally gonna get a cup for his boys. And that's not so bad, is it?

I mean, that won't be the case for the Caps this year, but I'm speaking in general.

Kreegs is now 20 points ahead of Vic, which would be quite a deficit to overcome even in the regular season pool, but it'll be a death knell in the playoffs with only a handful of games left to play.
