Can someone tell my what those little wooden circles with the leaf are for? When I stand on them they start clicking. I know its probably for the seeds, but how do I make something happen?

Also, can you sail on rafts? How?

Heh, took me forever to figure this out. When you stand by the pinwheel, something you have to shoot with your arrow will pop up. Sometimes it's very obvious targets, sometimes barely noticeable acorns being thrown between trees.

Yeah just use a Korok Leaf! You can randomly get them from cutting down trees. Rafts are sometimes tied to shore as well, so you'll need to cut the rope to get the raft going.

Question for EU/AUS people, what's the name of Kakariko Village in your game? The village with Impa and the Shiekah. And, is it the same village from Ocarina of Time that's at the foot of Death Mountain? The one with the Bottom of the Well mini dungeon and the grave yard. Just looking for interesting translation details.

(Kakariko Village is also from ALTTP, ALBW, and Twilight Princess BTW).

72 shrines l, all fairy fountains and two divine beasts (still trying my best to hold off)
>60 hours played. I just love exploring and finding new stuff and upgrading armour etc.

I unintentionally beat the game today
Spoiler
went through Hyrule castle just for a look and ended up having to fight the last two blight Ganon bosses I hadn't done yet and then the fight with Calamity Ganon started and I ended up beating him and his second form Dark beast Ganon. It was disappointingly easy.

What two beasts have you done? I've done the Zora and Garudo beasts. I don't want to say anything specific about them until I know which ones you've done, because I don't want to spoil anything for you.
I just love doing sidequests. Even if I just get rupees or a carrot or something as a reward, it's just so satisfying to help people!
Spoiler
I've done the same ones. Incidentally, I did Gerudo first, then Zora. Based on the comparative difficulties thereof (and the weapon drop stats), it seems like the game expected the opposite. Oh well! Had fun either way.

But yeah, what've you got to say about 'em?

I thought the lead-up to the Zora beast was super-exciting. They did a wonderful job of building up tension and excitement to make it this big heroic moment, from getting your swimsuit, to Sidon's gung-ho attitude, to the actual set-piece of opening the dungeon itself. Great stuff. The Gerudo one seemed kind of perfunctory by comparison. But at least the Gerudo dungeon's boss was a real son-of-a-bitch.

It's so funny you say that, because I felt the exact opposite and have been wanting to talk to someone about it!

I think the whole Gerudo area is more interesting than the Zora! I thought the Gerudo desert was very involved and built up to its Beast well, while I breezed through the Zora plot like it was nothing. Finding a way to beat the heat, sneak into the city, recover the stolen helmet, and walrus surf your way to the Beast while dodging LIGHTNING was just a blast. I love the Gerudo City as well, and I've completed every quest there (and saved up the $$$ to buy the cool, illegal male Gerudo armor :D).

Meanwhile, I thought the most interesting part of the Zora Domain was just getting there (since rain made climbing impossible). Beyond that, I was struck with a feeling of "wait, that's it?" after finishing the Zora area. Couldn't believe how quickly it resolved and how easy it was to access the Beast.

So strange to me that we have such different reactions! I wonder, did you do Zora first? I did Gerudo first. Perhaps that has something to do with our respective impressions?

I did do Zora first, and it's much easier, which is probably why you felt like it was such a breeze when you got to it. The main thing I liked better was zipping around on Sidon while breaking the ice, zipping up the waterfalls, and shooting the shock arrows. That "entrance sequence" was better than the Gerudo one IMO, where you just surfed beside your friend and shot legs. She didn't even really yell enthusiastic encouragement at you. All that said, Patricia is pretty much the best character though.

Anyone else dye your clothing yet? I have some sets that I have colored, but when I am wearing specialty clothing for a certain climate or area, the mismatch looks hilarious!

Mt. Laraynu - Go to the top if you haven't yet.
Spoiler
I just freed the dragon spirit at the top of the mountain. It was super cool! The best part was getting to the shrine and the goddess said "Getting here was challenging enough." Easiest "shrine" of the game so far.

I did Zora first then Goron divine beast. Haven't done the Gerudo or Rito yet, gonna do them on the flights home. The Zora beast was a great set piece, it did feel like although the beasts are to be done in any order that the Zora one was designed with being the first one in mind for players. The puzzles on the divine beasts themselves are fun but I'd still still rather have traditional dungeons over this, it's the one thing I miss in this game
