Fun little rhythm platformer by GAME FREAK. Decent amount of content in the game with catchy music and a good challenge and variety. Only fault I give it, and it can be seen as a big fault, is that sometimes it's hard to tell whether you should approach the game as a platformer or a rhythm game. Sometimes the enemies and obstacles that pop up will be too quick, or not quick enough for the expected beat, and other times it feels like you should attack at a certain time based on you're knowledge of platformers, but it ends up being off time to the beat. All in all good game, has a bit of a learning curve though. Got it for free on Club nintendo, the $15 asking price is fair given the production values, but $10 would have been more reasonable I think.

This is an entirely mediocre game, but I pushed myself through all of its 32 mountains. It seems to continue afterward, wrapping back around to the first mountain with more icicles and such, but I don't really feel compelled to continue. I guess I'd call 100% finishing each mountain's bonus stage, but I doubt I'll ever do that.

Regardless, feels good to break the 2 month drought. A little extra evening free time should push some more beaten games through the pipeline this summer, with Persona Q, Pushmo, and 3D Kid Icarus of most immediate concern. Also saw Tearaway at the local Gamestop when I stopped by, and I think it might be calling to me. I lamented it at first, but the nature of this summer forcing me to dig some fun out of my handhelds has been nice so far.

Nice quick relatively easy game to beat. Nonetheless still got a couple of things to do before I complete it plus the amiibos which I see as DLC.

I've had a spectacularly slow year so far in terms of gaming as I only brought my NGPC, laptop, DS and GBC to China. This is what I've achieved so far.

Finally finished Trine 2, got this one back in 2012. I think my save file was deleted twice so I played through the first half of the game on multiple ocassions :p Good to finally be done though, very good game. BOXBOY was enjoyable as well.

Pip was a solid platformer. You constantly switch between resolutions with different abilities to make your way through the game, which is a very satisfying mechanic. The game could really use some more polish when it comes to transitions, frame rate and hit boxes though. Music was really great, enjoyed the game. 7/10.

Obviously not the main draw of this game, but I completed the single player mode of Nidhogg in a cool 35 minutes exactly. I thought it was quite engaging and should be a great warm up for the PvP aspect. Definitely would recommend based on my first impressions!
