Finally, all done SM3DW. Great game, but damn was that last level a challenge. The level was second nature to me but the end, but I think not including check points was just adding artificial difficulty. Still had a good time, it has been a long time coming.

I'm considering getting myself an XBOX 360 just so I can replay the two N64 games.

If you can find one cheap enough, it might be worth it. They're seriously great games and the enhancements (graphics and camera) really help it. Might want to grab Shadow Complex, too, if you like Metroidvanias.

I might just borrow one and buy the games themselves, I'll look into Shadow Complex. But yeah, I played the games all the time as a kid and I was never able to beat the final boss in BK1, or get much further than the amusement park in BK2.

I beat Shovel Knight again last night, this time using a cheat code that let you run faster and jump higher. Beat the game in 2 hours - which isn't impressive by any means but still a good run considering I died probably 50 times still :p
