It's not a scary game, but I'll probably get back into my
Breath of the Wild file for Octoroktober.
And actually, it is a pretty scary game. Maybe I'll commit to only playing at night.
Play the rest of the game only wearing the Tingle Tunic, that'll make it scary.

A couple things. First, I have realized that I don't play games as much in October. This is because I'm trying to focus on creepy ones and I usually play those in short sessions LOL.
Second, I've been focusing on Last of Us. Fatal Frame 2 I'll take on next even if it is November because I really want to play it and see the story unfold. Outlast 2 probably isn't happening as I realized today that Evil Within 2 is coming out on Friday the 13th. Since I preordered it, it's a clear winner for my PS4 horror fix as I just loved the first game. So I'll try to focus on that and Last of Us for the bulk of October, take on Fatal Frame 2 after Last of Us is done, and take on Outlast 2 at some point in the future when I have the nerve.

Stardew Valley had a Halloween event... That's the extent of my spooky gaming so far!

If anyone's still deciding on a game to play during this terrifying time,
PlayStation Store is having a scary "Sale of the Dead" (week 1).

Unlike previous years, I did actually manage to play through a horror game from start to finish over the weekend before Halloween. I played Doki Doki Literature Club!, since it was getting a lot of buzz and I didn't want to run into any spoilers (and it was free). I feel like the depths of its horror are overstated quite a bit, but it's still a decent visual novel that manages to sneak some surprising metatextual elements in. Worth a look, but hardly genre-defining.

It’s approaching that time of year again! Does anyone have any October gaming plans???
Looking back I noticed I never followed through on Fatal Frame 2 or Outlast 2. I kind of had my fill of Outlast for a while so I think I’ll get back to work on Last of Us. I’ll be playing DQXI and Nioh in the background but Last of Us will be my horror game for the month. I still haven’t made it very far in Evil Within 2 either but first thing is first.
Last of Us and unrelated-to-October playing of DQXI and Nioh. Does anyone else have some creepy games in their future?

I'll be playing nothing but Dragon Quest XI... not very creepy. Is Hollow Knight creepy? This could be my excuse to pick that up and start playing right away, even though I don't really need one.

I would say so from what I’ve seen of it. I would count Ghouls and Ghosts too...which Hollow Knight distantly reminded me of. Or any Castlevania game. It definitely doesn’t have to be the normal horror game. I think the spirit of it counts too - not just how it makes you feel.

I recently got a PSP for the first time. I have Medievil for it and am going to pick up the Silent Hill Games. Ultimate Ghouls and Ghosts is also on my horizon.
