I suspect he's Zacharias too, although Zach was supposed to be a lancer not a tome user, and he didn't disappear long enough ago to become a completely different person, and Alfy/Sharena didn't recognize him. Still, time/portal/dimensions and stuff, so I guess...

I'll be pretty pumped if they make Black Knight playable.

I did manage to get Robin last night, but since I don't have Nino to rely on!!!, I had to go with a damage-suck strategy:

Team: Lucina (who didn't do anything), Takumi, Lv. 28 Cecilia, Tharja
  1. Get into position.
  2. Cecilia buffs Tharja's RES. Tharja moves to upper choke and kills Green Axe. Blue Tome brings Tharja to 2 HP. No one else does much of value.
  3. Takumi moves to lower choke but doesn't attack Robin because he'll die next turn. He's just there to block/distract for now. Tharja moves back to main choke, and Cecilia moves to upper choke but doesn't attack Blue Tome or she'll die next turn.
  4. Cecilia and Takumi suck up a couple hits, put in non-committal counters, and they're both around 3-10 HP now. Then all these hurting units can move back into position and one-shot the remaining enemies.

They're adding skill inheritance in mid-March.

The character who passes on the skill will return to another realm. (Sacrifice a character to pass a skill on to someone else.) We don't really know the parameters behind this yet—what will it cost (feathers?), what are the rarity/star requirements, etc.

I personally think that's a terrible idea which will ruin the game.

It really depends on how it's implemented. If it's no-holds barred, then I agree that it will definitely ruin the game. If you can put those angel of mercy/teleportation abilities or distant counter on any character, that will really suck, and kind of eliminate the whole point of accumulating different characters to customize your team. It'll only make a difference in the arena... but then again, that's pretty much the only endgame activity. Also, I can't imagine people sacrificing 5-star Hectors to pass on a skill, but I suppose I could be underestimating the whales.

Not just whales, but also rerollers. There are enough people with enough money or existing characters already to create some really bs teams. People will start slapping close and distant counter on everything, along with other broken combinations with skills like Vantage.

Being able to give skills to any character is also a dumb idea in terms of balance. Essentially it means that all that will matter on a character is their statline, since skills can be passed down. That will favor characters with higher stats over characters with lower stats but good skills. Characters who might have a minor niche but low stats like Setsuna (bowbreaker), will be rendered completely obsolete.

Oh man, I ran into my first cheeseball team in the arena today. I was playing the easy/normal tier so I could breeze through my 80 wins for the quest, when I ran into a team of three 5-star Level 40 Takumis and a level 20 Olivia just to dance and drag his stat total down. I got steamrolled. Buddy was going for cheap Defence points, I guess.

Yeah that's common. A lot of people are running level 1 olivia with takumi and others. That guy was extraordinarily lucky to have obtained 3 takumis though. Christ.

new banner coming soon. It's almost certain that Ike will be on it since he won the heroes poll. The main question is whether or not they will add other tellius characters. Micaiah is likely to come soon too since she's been shown off in some twitter posts related to the game from the FE Heroes JP account.

Right. It's a toss-up between whether it'll be a Tellius-focused banner or a fan-vote-based banner. I'd seriously imagine it'll be the former, since if they just released vote-leading characters it would just be a week or two of shiny characters who already exist (other than Ike).

There are so many good Tellius characters though. Ike, Mia, Micaiah, Tibarn (actually, I wonder if/how they'll add Laguz), BK, Nephenee, Haar, etc.

They went in a really bizarre direction, adding a bunch of characters from Thracia (actually from FE4 mostly)+Sanaki and somebody from Binding Blade (forgot who off the top of my head).

Uh..yeah...I don't really know what to say. I don't think they made a bad choice, but it definitely is a weird one. Of all these characters, the only one I care for is Sanaki. However, I'm not really willing to blow orbs on the off chance of getting her. I'll probably just save up for now. I actually did blow my orbs from before because I got impatient, so I only have like 24 or so right now.

Yeah, it's interesting that they made the sibling promotion a month-long two-part event. This banner lasts for two weeks, and if it's anything like the last one, we'll see the addition of a filler banner next week.

Sanaki's also interesting, because the announcement drops a major hint - something along the lines of "but who's her older brother?" I doubt they'd introduce Micaiah as a grand hero battle, so this might be hinting at a Tellius banner in two weeks?

Next arena season is probably going to have these new siblings and female Robin as the bonus characters.

Oh, we're also getting new March quests in a couple of days.

I'm happy to sit on my orbs for now while I work through this new content and try to level Robin up enough to be competitive in my arena team.

EDIT:

Someone has datamined the side-banner, as well as an Ursula Grand Hero Battle template, suggesting this'll be a "battling Ursula" banner. It's a pretty good one: Effie, Felicia, Setsuna, Nino. I don't have an Effie or a NIno, and I wouldn't turn my nose up at Setsuna. I also <3 <3 <3 Felicia, so getting a good one to infuse wouldn't be the end of the world. I'll probably use at least a couple rounds of my orb stockpile on that one.
