Just got the game along with the console itself (MK8+Splatoon bundle).
Is it possible to transfer friendlist from 3DS to WiiU?

No, friendlist on 3DS still used friendcodes. On Wii U it's with NNID, should be listed somewhere on this forum. Search on MiiVerse (on Wii U) for friends to add, that way they get a notification. You can add friends on Friendlist as well, but that was without a notification (don't know if that has changed).

Just redownloaded Mario Kart 8 (after having it deleted for months to hold other games) so I should be able to jump back into some races.

Anyone else able to race at 2pm cst (9pm cest)?

I should be good to go for this Sunday. Who else can race? 2pm Central time (note we have changed from daylight savings time in the US).

2pm cst is good. Last weekend we've gone from cet to cest as well, so back to 'normal' time difference.
