I ended up opting for Outlast 2. I’m still early in it. Quite creepy!
I never thought I would feel this way, but now I know. Now I know. I never thought I would see things as I see them now, but now I know. I never thought I would hurt so bad, but now I know. Now I know.

Kong - Hollow Knight definitely fits into the creepy side of things!

Picked up Luigi's Mansion on 3DS, so I actually have a somewhat thematic game to play this month! Curious to see how long it takes me to beat it, since it's been years since I've played it and apparently it's quite the short game.

I'd be down to try Outlast on Switch if it gets a solid discount.

I get that it’s still September. I get that - really I do. But I’m kicking my October gaming off early and will ramp it up once it’s actually October.

I’m starting with Evil Within 2. Once it’s October, I’ll also start Fatal Frame 2 for PS3. I also have three PS4 games queued up for me if I need more games or more variety: Alien: Isolation, Layers of Fear 2, and Dead Island.

This is going to be uncomfortable and great!

I, for one, appreciate the enthusiasm!

I recently picked up "MediEvil II" for PS1 at DragonCon. I think that would fit the October theme. I'd like to think I can at least knock that out in the month of October.

Of course, I'll also be buying Luigi's Mansion 3 on Halloween itself. Looking forward to that one.

There's no Halloween here, but Luigi's Mansion 3 is released in time for this. Probably will be playing all three Luigi's Mansions at least once in october, that is if I can download LM3 or buy the retail version.

I think I will give Resident Evil 4 a shot, probably before October starts!

At my wife’s encouragement / challenge I added a PSVR game to the October mix. I don’t know how I egregiously overlooked that system. It was probably deliberate ;). So I’ve started Resident Evil 7 and just got past where I’d bailed last time. What a creepy game.

Evil Within 2 is going well. I just got my grimy hands on a shotgun. The town I’m in just got a lot harder with more and stronger enemies. I’m enjoying the game tremendously though.

Again I’m waiting for October to start Fatal Frame 2. Am playing another PS3 game at the moment...hope to beat it before October.

Quick update on my progress:

I’m a little stuck in Resident Evil 7 trying to get my hands on a shotgun. I’ve seen two of them but I’m not sure how to get to either. I’ll figure it out.

I’m nearly a third through Evil Within 2. I’m loving it and taking it slowly...doing side quests along the way and etc. I’m about to start an involved side quest that will send me somewhere I hate going but will yield lots of supplies later. I’m sure I’m on track to beat this in October despite playing other stuff too.

I’m starting Fatal Frame 2 tomorrow. I’m already nervous enough! Lol

1 October, 2019 - I booted up Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night last night, got my bearings, and then tackled the Twin Dragon Towers, beating the boss of the level and picking up two new trophies (14/45). I might not have time to make more progress tonight because of pasta, but we'll see.

2 October, 2019 - Had a good Bloodstained session last night during a lengthy PS Chat with an old friend. I beat the train boss and then utterly humiliated the speed demon / light reflector boss thanks to my OP conjured buddies (Poltergeist). Then I just worked on finding and preparing various recipes for quests in town until I couldn't access the enemies I needed for the ingredients anymore. I got four new trophies (18/45) in the process.
