Just ordered the Gold Mario Amiibo

Might have to keep this one in its case.

evildevil97 wrote:Amiibo hunting is serious business. I either have ordered, preordered, or have in my possession every amiibo except for Meta Knight, Pit, Marth, Greninja, and Jigglypuff. (And the Mario line, but I'm not bothering with different models of characters I already have. So, I have a Toad.)

Anyone else actually getting into the hunt?
I've been in the hunt since it first started, but it's getting pretty annoying in terms of short supply and exclusives. I preordered 5 of 6 amiibos from [Super Smash Bros.] wave 4, but I'm probably only going to get three of them now (despite Robin and Lucina pre-ordered/paid for, but oversold launch stock).

Just proves that not even pre-orders are safe (especially at EB).

I want Puff...

Next line's coming out on my birthday, which is sorta neat. So is Splatoon.

Unfortunately I'll be out of town and unable to make use of my Wii U until August, most likely. Such is life!

Just picked up Yoshi from the Super Mario series. It's a lot sturdier than the Smash one

I've added the Gold Mario amiibo, Super Mario series Luigi, and Donkey Kong amiibos. Donkey Kong was hard to find actually, could only find it in one Best Buy in the city and was the last one left.

Still need Ike, really hoping he's reprinted sometime. Debating on a Splatoon amiibo and Pac-man.

I have to say, that Pac Man Amiibo is bloody delicious. Might have to get one.

Yeah, man. I have some problems with Amiibo as a DLC and revenue generation model (not buying them doesn't really make your experience any less in Smash or Mario Kart, but we'll see if Nintendo sticks to that), but these figures are the only displayable memorabilia of their kind for many characters (Captain Falcon, Palutena, Little Mac...), so I do value them for that.

Now I'm not sure that's the case for Pac, but he still definitely looks good. Pretty slick for twelve bucks. Same with Bowser, imo.

Haha I was going more for the kidnapping vibe, but throwing works too.
