Sad to see Drouin's entitlement (and/or awful advice from his agent) potentially blowing his career. He was justifiably sent down to the minors for conditioning after barely being good enough to scratch the Lightning's 3rd or 4th line. Rather than show off how dominant he can be and use this as a chance to prove himself, he walked out. Now he's suspended. And he thinks this is going to make him more marketable in a trade to another team somehow? I guess his agent didn't tell him that teams don't exactly climb over each other to sign players who disrespect their contracts, especially sophomores with no stats to back themselves up.

I remember reddit going nuts over him funny that he's turned out to be nothing.

He had a phenomenal junior career. Definitely worthy of note. But success in the juniors and being a high draft pick do not guarantee immediate readiness for the big leagues, playing against gigantic adults. Drouin wasn't ready, and now he's balking at the usual route that kids take to hone their skills and conditioning (a stint in the minors).

I wouldn't be surprised if some other NHL team were actually willing to take a gamble on him, but he's going to have to wake up to the fact that he's not already an NHL star.

I've now managed to squeeze past Kreegs onto the podium (for now), and I'm only 4 points behind Slurmee in second place (also for now).
