This was actually one of the least interesting seasons of hockey for me in recent memory, so my picks are going to be based more on whimsy with a dash of who I hope will win rather than well-informed regular-season viewing.

Florida Panthers vs. New York Islanders
Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Detroit Red Wings
Washington Capitals vs. Philadelphia Flyers
Pittsburgh Penguins vs. New York Rangers

Western Conference

Anaheim Ducks vs. Nashville Predators - Tough matchup, both teams are hot right now. I give the edge to Nashville.
Los Angeles Kings vs. San Jose Sharks
Dallas Stars vs. Minnesota Wild
St. Louis Blues vs. Chicago Blackhawks - Another insanely tough matchup. Man, this could go either way. The Blues are streaking right now, and healthy, except for Backes. Just to be different, so me & Slurm can cheer against each other, I'm going to pick the Blues in 7.

Why on earth would I cheer for Chicago O.o I hate seeing them win. I hope the blues can beat them but Chicago are insane during the playoffs

No. Even without Stamkos, the Wings are a shaky pick. But they're my team, so I have to hold out some hope for them, and Datsyuk usually picks up his game in the playoffs too.

Wild will have to get through Dallas without Haula, Vanek, and Parise.... Ouch

Even without Seguin and Minnesota had a full lineup you'd be screwed.

I don't want to get greedy but it would be oh so sweet to see Wild get swept. Especially against Dallas whom I've been cheering for all year (and last year) as a second team.

A Dallas/Washington/Florida win would make me very happy

The fact that you want my state's team to lose makes me happy. No one hates MN teams because they usually are a non-factor.

You're on the way to be a non-factor by Wednesday night at this rate. You're lucky Dallas didn't run away with the game earlier. I nearly felt bad for Minnesota.
