The Yakuza series had long been on my to do list, and I finally checked it off. I enjoyed this game enough to go ahead and order Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2, the remakes of the first two games, which I'd say is an endorsement! Yakuza 0 is an enormous game with way more side content than I'll ever finish, but the core beat 'em up gameplay feels good, and the story is solid dramatic criminal stuff. As this was a prequel, I'm sure there were many nods to previous-but-chronologically-later games that went completely unappreciated by me, but I'll just have to catch them in reverse.

My copies of the Kiwami games won't be here for a few days, so I guess I'll take these next few days to do some side quests and maybe grab some extra trophies. As far as I can tell, *no* side content is locked out/missable by progressing through the story, and it can all be returned to after beating the story. More games should be like this!

Mario Galaxy was a fantastic game as always. Definitely the best music, art design and arguably story in the series. Oddly enough, I actually might give Sunshine the edge here. Maybe it's because it had been a longer time since I revisited it, I just really prefer the exploration style of 3D Mario in Odyssey, Sunshine and 64. I do think Galaxy is the better game though.

DKC2 done! Pretty good game, definitely oozes of classic rare charm. I can definitely say now Tropical Freeze is the best in the series, but this one holds up well.

Rewind feature was used liberally.

A Hat in Time: Great platformer so much fun. Probably better on PS4/XBone or PC though since the switch load time isn't great. Highly recommend.

Oops! Accidentally edited this and deleted some of my SM64 thoughts. I said something about how I've beaten SM64 a bunch of times, how I don't count repeat beats in my count below, and that if I did Night Trap would be on here like 8 times.

Anyway, yeah 64's great! I'll always have a soft spot for it as my first (good) home console game, but even without that sentimentality, I think it's got a lot to offer. Hell of a debut outing for Nintendo in 3D.

Finally knocked out all of the Picross, Mega Picross, Colour Picross, Micro Picross, and gigantic bonus puzzles in Picross S4 with no hints and no help.

Now I can move on to Mario's Super Picross on the Virtual Console whenever the puppy gives me a spare puzzling moment.
